Fsuipc 7 recommended?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

In msfs’s current state, Is fsuipc 7 recommended, or rather would I see any benefit in having it?

Anyone running this for msfs?

 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

I have used FSUIPC for years and when I got MSFS I got the registered version of 7.  I use it to program some keystrokes to my joystick, for controlling Track IR, and my ATC program. Works great. Haven't used it to program controls in MSFS, because the default programing in the sim seems to work well. I think it is also needed for two add on programs I have.

I use free version as some addons require it other than that never needed full version

Where have you got the free version? The website of them has been offline for some time now.

I will try to avoid fsuipc as long as possible. It's just to pricy for what I used it in FSX days. It even seems not really necessary for the new sim. The only thing I miss is the auto-save feature.

What kind of addons needs FSUIPC? I don't get it . I fly almost exclusively the DC-6 with the classic in game mapping and so far everything's great!

MSFS - XPlane11 & 12- P3D5 - DCS - Windows 10 64 bit - Corsair One i140 - i7 9700K 3.6Ghz - nVidia GeForce TRX 2080

For instance the free Luke Air Tool at Flightsim.to requires it

Richard and Waldo thank for enlightening me! For the moment I don't use any of these tools  that require FSUIPC. Richard I miss so much my C6😪!

Cheers guys

As many, I have FSUIPC installed because I have addons requiring FSUIPC interface (VrInsight mPanel for me). But, I have the feeling that new external addons support Simconnect. Coincidence, as I just start flying with the Just Flight PA28-Warrior II, I felt that my T16000 joystick sensitivity (which is working perfectly great for the default Cessna 172 that I fly 99%) need a specific sensitivity settings. As far as I remember, FSUIPC can assign plane specific joystick sensitivity settings.

VrInsight panels are awesome - miss mine but my little stream deck is amazing to expedite my commands - luv it

I have a mPanel, for the rotating feature/radio setting + one Stream Deck 🙂 for the switch/press button.

I run all my controls thru FSUIPC7, and also use it for a number of Lua scripts. Would not want to be without FSUIPC in any of my sims.
