No one else seems to be getting this, so must be something to do with my system.

I do. My system is below yours in terms of specifications (i7 8700K, EVGA 1070) I get occasionally a long (5 to 7 seconds) freeze during climb or descent (or at least this is where I can see them because of the variometer and altimeter being frozen), but curiously my sim is not frozen only these two instruments, I can see the plane moving and I can pan around with Track IR.

Both instruments would update suddenly, but again the flight itself is not affected. This has nothing to do with icing (pitot heat is ON).

Just wanted to share with you that my mid-range PC now handles VR thanks to this SU5. (2060 + R5 3600 + 32 RAM)

I found a HP WMR for 100 euros this week and I get a steady 25-35 fps everywhere with scaling at 90. That's the gate to a new world for me, congratulations Asobo!

Why isn’t anyone else talking about the return of the giant trees? It looks like humanity hasn’t been around for 50 years. Everything is overgrown and looks ridiculous like it did a few releases back.

Probably because anyone with any sense has purchased Bijans Seasons mod and has correctly sized trees.... 😉

I"ll put my two cents in here.  I didn't try to update yesterday. I knew better. I didn't have to be the first to get it.  I updated today: from start of update to fly now (includes content manager update also) 3 hours on a max 100 mbit/sec. Got nearly that speed.  No glitch with update (never have been).  Did a quick 32 minute VFR from KIPT Williamsport PA to KAVP Wilkes-Barre Scranton in Beech Bonanza no traffic live weather. I have done this many times. No CTD, no stutters , no pause no popping in.  I did notice the following three things overall brightness increase, some slight shimmering in a few buildings and decreased sharpness of clouds.

I have an Intel cpu ay 3.7G, 32 G memory at 2900 Mh and a 1080Ti.  My settings are almost all ultra.  I don't watch mu FPS, as long as it is smooth I don't care what the frames are. I also don't heavily mod anything.

The takeaway:  I see no difference in my machine's performance between last update and yesterdays except for the three things I mentioned.  I am pleased.

Perhaps I am a fortunate son.

I can only imagine his surprise when he discovered that the MD-10 is an interior "eye candy only" waste of HD space.

dev version

Yeah so the problem with that is the developmental version uses the throttle axis from full reverse to full throttle where as the stable version only uses forward thrust from 0 thrust to full thrust then I control reversers with F2.  So the end result is I'm taxing around putting the thrust reversers on constantly and that is annoying.
