White dot in the center of the image

Featured Replies

After the last update I have a white dot in the center of the image in the cockpit and I do not know how to get rid of it. The camera also moves all the time. I use the X-box controller to control the camera. Someone who has any tips.

I'm starting to get more and more convinced that MSFS is a game and a toy!

Maybe posting a screenshot would help us help you?

The white dot is part of the new control scheme for XBox, for manipulating the cockpit. You can disable it in the accessibility options setting it to "Legacy".

As for the camera, I had the same issue because the control settings got reset. Go in the sensitivity options and ensure you have a bit of deadzone on your right stick so that the camera doesn't move on its own.

I set the accessibility options setting it to "Legacy" and the dot is stil there. I have read the same in MSFS forum and the change to "Legacy" does not cure the problem.

I guess the only cure, for now,  is not using a gamepad.

Its not about gamepads. MSFS sees my analogue POV hat as a gamepad and my $750 flight stick is now useless

The dot comes with mouse here…

I use the Warthog POV for trim and the thumb thingie for view which doesn’t raise the dot.

Yep, anyone with a POV on a joystick or mouse will now see it with no way of turning it off. Asobo are some of the worst when it comes to releasing bug filled patches. I wish I was at FSExpo so I could ask Jorg about this garbage release. He likely wouldn’t like my questioning but I wouldn’t care.

All that because of a stupid dot?

Well, to be fair, it's not just a stupid dot is it? I'd be pretty peed off too if the darn thing was sat in the middle of every view while flying!

It does seem to be related to the Xbox style of controller. As for Asobo sorting out a cure, I wouldn't hold your breath, as this has been around since year dot! (sorry ) Besides, there's something else that Asobo will be spending their time on at the moment!

Yes, a white frame around my TDS GTNXi from time to time if I'm panning around the cockpit.
