August 3, 20214 yr Besides the LOD pops and the over exposed clouds, it's working great for me. I will say, I always thought the clouds looked too grey and ashy. If they can find a happy medium between what it was before SU5, and now, it'll look much more realistic. The LOD pops are an immersion killer, though. That was one thing that was wonderful about this before SU5. We have pop in's in every other sim, and to not have that before, was truly amazing. I really hope they can figure this out. I really think they were pressured to get this out for the XBOX release from the higher-ups. I'm confident they're going to get this fixed. I'm sorry for the people out there that are having trouble with this new update.

First off there's no excuse for this and second we're going to start seeing our freeware/payware developers throwing in the towel. After that this thing is done. Please

August 3, 20214 yr This is all about perspective and your experience with the update, looks ok to me, yes there has been some dumbing down in the graphics and a few bugs but a few tweaks and my scenery looks fine from high up, this stuff will get fixed, we have other concerns at the moment like being able to afford food and pay bills especially in Australia thanks to a word not allowed government style rule recently,I'm more worried about someone coming around to try and force the jab onto us, totally respect people's right and choice to get it don't get my wrong, so Essentially I'm just enjoying the Sim and not wasting energy on things that will get fixed as frustrating as they are Wayne such Asus Hero Z690, Gigabyte Aorus Master 5080, I914900K, Kraken 360 AIO CPU Cooled, 96 GIGS Corsair DDR5, 32 Inch 4K by 3
August 4, 20214 yr I agree that this is a problem, but the problem is as big as users want to make it. I personally have purchased one airport (KDEN) and two aircraft (DC-6 and Mooney). I am purposely waiting for things to stabilize before buying anything else. This is early access / beta territory. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
August 4, 20214 yr The tail doesn't wag the dog. Meaning if Asobo feels it necessary to change architecture of source code as they move forward then so be it. Nothing is written in stone. Third party developers will either update as they need to or they won't. Imagine a world where a developer of a product has to clear it with third party providers it's going to make a change in their design. Yeah , no. A notification should be forthcoming as a courtesy. Plus there are a bazillion of other threads that can be added to - no need to rehash the same thing over and over and over again. I don't feel the need to go into a thread I'm not interested in. August 4, 20214 yr The sim, for me is fine after SU5. No issues whatsoever. You'll find that many millions of sim pilots will be having a positive experience with only the negative posts appearing here. This sim is in good hands and will be around for a long long time. I'm sure that if PMDG can pump out an update within an hour of SU5 being released with others shortly following then the third party community is gonna be just fine. Jase Jaseman. August 4, 20214 yr The best part of the week was Asobo's gentle reminder to Aerosoft about who owns the sim. Some developers have become a touch haughty over the last couple of years placing themselves and their products as greater than. A figurative kick in the whatsits according to Mathijs
