Yes, with ver. 0.9.0 of the Arrow III and ver. 0.4.0 of the Arrow IV, as far as I can tell everything that worked before SU5 works after SU5. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB
August 7, 20214 yr The pms50 530 mod (1.0.36) doesn't seem to be working in the JF Turbo Arrow IV (ver4) for me with 1.18.15.0. Anyone else have this issue? FYI after I updated MSFS all my graphics settings went to weird custom settings, so I reset and re-applied all my general graphics settings and it SEEMS to be OK but flying the Arrow the airplane was much more sensitive to either controls or weather moving around a lot. Probably just me... Seemed impossible to trim for a stable climb . Anyone else see this. Altitude hold works perfectly, once I got to cruise. Bob the Arrow III seemed to trim okay for me when I flew it last night, and if there was a difference I suspect it's not specific to the Arrow - I was able to trim for 85 knots and it seemed fairly stable at around 1200 or so fpm. I flew the Arrow III and the Longitude last night and I was never able to trim the Longitude for climb or level flight. In level flight it did exactly what you describe happened to you in the Arrow, except the excursions were even more wild - like 400 fpm - 2000-3000 fpm variations. I also noticed what I believe to be different reaction to rudder inputs - in both aircraft. My overall impression is the I believe something has changed in the aerodynamics model in SU5. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB

Probably just me... Bruce, I didn't try the 530 (1.0.36) mod with the Arrow IV, but I did use it in the Arrow III last night and it seemed fine. As far as control sensitivity I noticed the same thing - something has changed, but I'm not so sure it's only with the Arrow. Seemed to me the Longitude exhibited the same control issues. Before SU5 the Longitude was such a pleasure to land cause once it was trimmed for approach speed it was really easy to control rate of descent with small power changes. After SU5 it is impossible to trim for approach - if you add power it pitches down, and if you reduce power it pitches up. Wasn't like that before SU5. I also noticed with both aircraft that turns have to be led with heavy rudder - MUCH more than before SU5. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB
August 7, 20214 yr Can anyone confirm that going into boost in the turbo arrow results now in immediate engine damage where that wasn't the case before the latest update
August 7, 20214 yr I also have trim issues with the Turbo Arrow. It's either too much or too little. AMD Ryzen R9 9950X3D | Asus Astral RTX 5080 OC | 32 GB DDR5 6000 CL30 | 3440x1440 G-Sync | Logitech Pro Throttles Rudder Yoke Panels | Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS | TrackIR 5 | Oculus Rift S

What it was doing for me on the climb out was phugoid oscillations. It would slow down, climb rate would go up, then the nose would drop climb rate would go down while airspeed increased, rinse and repeat. Shouldn't do that, should be able to trim for a set speed and it should stay pretty close to that speed.

Bob I'll have to test the Arrow again today, but I saw exactly the same phugoid oscillations in the Longitude, so I'm not so sure it's specific to the Arrow. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB

I just took off on another flight and this time the elevator trim seemed to work fine. Must have been a sim issue on last flight, Forgot how much fun it is to fly the Arrow, been only flying the DC 6 since it was released. Scenery looks so much better at GA altitudes.
August 7, 20214 yr Looks like a must have for low and slow? How is the performance compared to default aircrafts? Thanks Michael Moe Michael Moe
August 7, 20214 yr FYI -- there is version 1.0.37 of the pms50/gns530 mod on github now. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
August 7, 20214 yr Only issues I now have are: you still need nose up trim for a stable takeoff the AP nine times out of ten will only work in heading mode not nav mode. However I think issues with autopilot are generic across quite a few addon aircraft post SU5. I have similar issues on other aircraft from other devs Edited August 7, 20214 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
