No issues here and like you i have both. But i only run the addons required for the flight i plan on doing using the Addon Linker.

I think it's sim related to be honest.  Maybe the statics have a bit to do with it also.  I noticed some of small stuff around the taxiways doesn't pop in until you're right on top of them.  I've got LOD set to 110 I think.

Disabling other airports you're not using shouldn't have any impact on performance, BTW.  I've never seen any reason to disable those.

Of course if you have 2 of the same airport you don't want that.  You should be able to simply remove those out of the community folder and you're OK.

There is a noticeable drop in FPS when panning to the terminals.

Yeah, I think that's due to LOD popping in and out.  It would seem to me that all the details should be drawn in when you're within a few miles of the airport.  Especially when you're on the airport.

I'm having big time issues with this one for some reason.  Not sure if it's sim related or not.  Big time LOD popping and stutters and now a CTD.  This is the first airport I've had a issue with.

I had Gary's EGGD and removed it, of course.  Not sure if there's any residual files in another folder outside the community folder.

The scenery itself is outstanding.  Not sure if anyone else is having problems.

if you run a cache, clear it after adding the new airport...   Theres things in the cache from Garys airport that need to be cleared.

I'm going to double check that now.  I thought I had that turned off all together.

EDIT:  I had the cache set to off like I thought.  It still gives you the option to delete it (strange), which I did anyways.  Still the same.  Stutters when panning around or in the drone cam, etc.

I’m having stutters when panning but no popping, tbh I just assumed it’s the SIM, but I will delete my cache tomorrow and try again - I did like yourself have UK2000 installed before hand.

hmmm  okay  last thought..  have a look in the main files in C>users>appdata and look at Content.xml   it will probably still have an entry for UK2000 EGGD even though you deleted it.

If so, delete that file.  Restart your computer, then the next load of MSFS should recreate it.

The other final final option is do you run MSFS in normal or admin mode...  I have found that admin mode is better.

If neither of those, then I am all out of ideas I am afraid 😞

Deleted the XMl file...still the same.  I think it's a sim issue as well as a LOD issue and probably some of the statics causing it.  Just CTDd again while in drone mode.  Very weird.

I'm going to try un-installing it and re-installing.

I've had two app freezes with this airport. I have crashed in MSFS, before today, exactly once in 1 year. So, there's that.

Once it froze when overflying using the drone camera and again watching the intro camera while it moves around the airfield.

Bah. I'll try some stuff and report back tomorrow.

I haven't had any CTDs but have noticed that this airport is extremely hard on my FPS. More than any other airport I have.

Fps is good for me but stutters when panning is at most airports now since su5

It simply won't work on my system, I'm afraid. Freezes and blacked out screens - have to kill the sim via Task Manager every time. Flushed and deleted everything and running on a completely bare system. I've raised a ticket with them and I guess I'll see what happens. Shame, it looks good and not had any problems with their other stuff.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I was going to post my thoughts earlier about the airport, but thought better of it, as they may sound a little sour when it is clearly such a wonderful looking masterpiece. But I can't help wondering why so much effort has been put into such detail on the interior of an airport. I don't get it. we sit in an aircraft on the outside of airport buildings and get a view through windows. I can't help feeling that all the interior detail which, IMO is unnecessary, is a contributing factor for the stutters and poor performance that is being reported here. I hope any issues get sorted, as this is, as I said, a wonderful looking product.

Unfortunately the performance for me is so bad I'm going to have to go back to the UK2000 version for now. Hopefully it will be patched.
