Released: MilViz Porter for MSFS2020

I am pretty happy with the new version, my only issue is with cockpit manipulators. If I set them to Locked as the plane manual suggests, sim hangs very often for me. Not a big problem, I still use Legacy as I am lazy to learn new manipulators.

Is it just me who thinks that the power at idle is too high? I have to brake all the time while I'm taxi, even with the condition lever in the middle position.

During taxi I usually reduce RPM and leave conditioner on low idle

I do the same as sd_flyer, I just move the prop pitch leaver and leave the conditioner in low idle while taxiing. Just remember to set it to high idle before takeoff.

I do the same, but I have to brake all the time anyway, it was not like this before the update, I have to check my controller settings.

Just got this Aircraft, and it's very nice.

Two questions though...

Milviz recommends to use the "Lock" mode instead of "Legacy" - why ?

It seems that Legacy mode works just fine (I don´t like the tooltips that comes with "Lock").

It doesn´t seem that altitude ARM" mode is implementet for the KAP140 autopilot. But the aircraft will still capture the set altitude. - Is this a bug or intended ?

***EDIT***

Just found that the Milviz PC-6 uses the standard Asobo KAP140, where the ARM button is inop and that it will always capture the set altitude.

In the real KAP140, setting the altitude will only set the altitude alerter (the warning tone that occurs when getting into 1000 ft of the set altitude, but will not capture it.

Inorder to capture the set altitude, the ARM button must be pressed inorder for the KAP!40 to diplay "ARMED".

I think it comes from the absence of a condition lever in the MSFS modeling of turbo-engine  (14 months after release but hey, we have Reno  !).  I use mixture axis (-100/+100) bound to the slider lever on the Warthog throttle which is not adapted to the need.

According to the PIM, Low Idle should give a minimum of 52% NG. In my set up, with  the throttle at idle, LI gives 59% to 61% NG (lever in mid-position in cockpit). The lever should be just above the red gate.

The trick I found is to use the small wheel right of the CL to lower it and bring 53/52% NG.

During a long taxi, the speed which was incrementing to 60 knots now doesn't go beyond 35 knots.

How many nm?

I saw a video of this aircraft last night on Youtube. That is one ugly looking plane, in my opinion.

I assume that was a flight with full fuel and no cargo, right?
