October 7, 20214 yr I was checking out real-time traffic in MSFS World Map by comparing specific real-world moving plane icons shown in the map to flight data in flightaware.com. There's always seems to be a time difference between the two. A plane might still be actively moving in World Map but it might show as having already landed in flightaware.com. Which source is more accurate? (I have a persistent 800+ Mbps connection). Thank you. Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space. Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

Where can I get more info on World Map eg. like what it tracks, can it filter by airlines or by airport, plane types, etc? Does Asobo or Microsoft provide any guidance at all? Thanks. Many people use Flight aware to track flights so they know when to drive to the airport to pick up someone from an arriving flight. Can you imagine that happening with the Live Traffic in any simulator? https://flightaware.com/ Edited October 7, 20214 yr by Bobsk8

October 7, 20214 yr FlightAware generates its tracking directly from user fed ADS-B receivers. It's only off by less than 10 seconds at most. You can even buy your own ADS-B receiver kit to help contribute to its tracking. MSFS is using some variant of this same data, not directly though and heavily "processing" it and is off by minutes and also culling flights to limit the amount of traffic shown. October 7, 20214 yr there is a delay and Asobo have admitted that. What they don't say is that not all traffic is being shown - just a fraction in fact in some places. October 7, 20214 yr dear bofhlusr, the best software we have is PSXTseecon traffic MSFS and Realtraffic software. Two great tool designed to inject all real traffic with 10 seconds delay. Thsi real traffic can be seen exactly in Flightradar24. When i use it, i can have in some airport even 250 planes. parked, landing, taxiing...as in real. the bad thing is that after SU update of MSFS, when PSX seecon traffic injected more than 13 ai models you had a lovely CTD. but in prepar3d works veeeeery well. ejnjoy it.
