You know you can change the size of the UI?

The UI is the less user-friendly that I have seen for a long time.  The guy in charge was obviously trying to do something « modern » instead of doing something useful.

What really annoys me is the « open filters » menu of the World Map. To have to open and close it each time you want to change an option is a PITA. Apparently he/she doesn’t know about the tool icon bar concept...

Interface scale? It does not affect the screens I am talking about, only the font size.

I find the UI ok as it is.

It is really neccessary to imrove the UI.

  • "-" and "+" for adjusting precise numbers such as W&B or daytime, etc. were there but removed from the UI ( I think for console users)
  • Gate or Runway is still not selectable from the map. It resets the flightplan. Searching from the list is annoying to find.
  • Filters are not user friendly as mentioned.
  • Starting C&D on runway or starting with engines running at gate would be good as an option.
  • Hangar external view is still not working
  • and more......

How can this be OK for you?

Menus with dozens of items and only 2-3 items shown at once?

I find the UI is just fine, could do with some tweaking here and there but overall it's no worse than a lot of other games/Sims and certainly a lot better than some.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

I can easily scroll up/down and left/right...i dont see a problem here.

They have 50,000 things to fix.  IMO, UI is the least important.  And I am saying this, thinking the UI is pretty bad, especially from the world map screen when planning a flight.

But right now, there are more pressing things to fix.  Get the flight model better, get the ground handling better, open up weather/terrain radar for 3rd party devs, reduce the CTDs, etc.

For example, if a developer working on the UI is also capable of tracking down CTDs (which is very likely since tracking down CTDs can be a general software developer skill and isn't really a specialized skill), I would rather have this developer tracking down CTDs than fixing the UI.

Maybe after 3 years, we can approach Asobo to fix the UI then? Until then, the UI is not a priority for me - as bad as the UI is, especially on the World Map screen, it's usable.  There are just so many other high priority issues to fix.

You get my vote! this game has the less user-friendly UI that I have seen in a long time, eg, I would like to see more drop-down list, especially for the controller configurations, it is a pain to browse through them every time you want to change aircraft.

As we add to our collection, the aircraft selection screen is a bit clunky for sure.

UI works great and looks great. Please don't change anything, except for maybe a few tweaks here and there.

Yes , UI needs improvements. It is not the highest priority but it is not that hard to tweak the UI.

UI is the display of the games / simulators and has too much impact on the user experience.

It is still hard for me  to understand why MS / Asobo  did not make improvements yet on some small items that seems to be easiy. Because, community modders already did good work even if they are not as pro as MS/Asobo. For example; seasons/trees, replay tools, helicopters, .....

I was thinking that they were busy with Xbox console and that is also released. Now, I hope they will give adequate resources to these changes and hope these will be implemented by MS / Asobo. soon.

I wish they'd get rid of the ridiculously large white boxes on the map containing airport names. They only get in the way when flight planning, and makes you keep resizing the map.
