What a month. We will get ToLiss A340 in few hours. Enhanced Skyscape 2021.10.24 patch released.  I really appreciate that the developer didn't give up since XP12 is coming to make his plugin obsolete but took the time to keep improving it. 

Changelog:

* Control system is improved (Now it is possible to have multiple presets, first 4 of which can be activated using keyboard bindings)
* A new control is added for desaturation of sky
* A new control is added for cloud shadow darkness
* Sky colors, sun and ambient colors on clouds are tweaked for sunset and sunrise
* Height based fog is implemented with corrected density
* Transition from DSF border to low resolution terrain is improved
* Disabling the add-on using the "Plugin Admin" menu now restores the original X-Plane 11 state
* Fixed the root cause of artifacts for elevations below MSL
* Fixed aerial perspective artifacts on clouds around horizon
* Fixed abrupt bright yellow flash of the sun during late sunset and early sunrise
* Fixed disappearing moon and stars issue

It's a considerable gain in performance and visuals. Really a MUST HAVE in XP11...

Agreed, great addon. Bought it initially just to support the developer but was blown away by the quality of his work.

Has anyone gotten the update? If so how. I did not get any email.

 

Unfortunately the performance hit is too much on my GTX 1060 (6gb). Tried all the presets. Looks really good, though.

Has anyone tried this addon in VR mode? I want to make sure it's VR friendly before I pull the trigger 🙂

• Please note that VR is NOT supported.

I’ve asked this too as I only fly in VR and apparently it produces a double image so doesn’t work, which is a shame as I does look fantastic. I’m inclined to buy it anyway to show support.

I also tried the demo and it actually doesn't work in VR - the image is double.

You're being tricked... It's still 2d 🙂 just illusioned....

Not being a VR guy my only quirk with ES is the absence of night visuals. The clouds are "invisible" at night, and not only they don't get the city lights or moonlight as they also can't get illuminated by the aircraft lights... That's a pitty but maybe the author can still add those effects, or meanwhile we can get it with XP 12 ( ? )

Having tried the demo , it's excellent but not excellent for my tiny GPU :(.
