Orlando Trees

Featured Replies

Do other people have this many trees bursting into Orlando Airport (KMCO)? Looks pretty crazy to me

Obviously trying to carbon-offset!😁

Give me a few minutes and I'll look for myself.

I didn't even know there were trees there in the first place. how odd!

So, although my tree density is maybe a bit OTT compared to reality, yours certainly looks a bit 'wild'!

Addons? Could be something other than that airport as an addon.  Try emptying Community and then taking a look.

It’s funny that through the years I’ve seen lots of funny things at airports reported as bugs but the  checking them against real world google map photos, they’ve actually been correct. It’s weird that KMCO has a feature like that in real life.

That is surprising!  Aren't those trees and their proximity to the aircraft (well, mainly the leaves they shed) a FOD hazard?

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Perhaps someone in the Orlando area can confirm what type trees they are.

Are you running a tree addon (seasons for instance)? If not care to share your settings?

No, just default MSFS settings without add-ons. I'm generally on Ultra settings.

Global Rendering Quality: High End

Terrain LOD: 100

Trees/Grass & Bushes: High

Trees seem to be quite a thing for Floridian airports from my admittedly limited in-sim experience.🤔 Terminals surrounded by them. Stands right up near them. Quite odd from a safety point of view but certainly scenic - that one at KMCO almost looks perfect for a pitch and putt course!😄

I just passed one as I landed at KTPA Tampa, so maybe that's where they've all gone. Definitely too many appearing all over the world.

Meant to ask the OP too. Was just wondering how some people can be overun with trees and some not.

This is what it looks like on my system (tree, global rendering and lod settings same as yours, running at 2k)
