No point talking about fps now guys. Once it's here we'll see. 

Has anybody heard if any of the default planes will get a facelift? The XP11 C172 is ok as it is for a default plane but the Baron cockpit could do with some improvements for example.

"Not allowed" is one way to twist it, or just take the official answer of LR that it is too soon as they are still focusing on adding the features, I mean austin literaly says it in the video, what is more needed as a "proof" that it is too soon to talk about? 

There is no actual discussion here, you guys are speculating and nitpicking everything regardless of what LR are doing or even saying. You are feeding your own speculations and preseneting them as facts, what's the point/interest doing that in every thread? Please do answer where LR and their "friends" said this is going to be the perfromance. You can't huh?

Also, I remember the first preview videos of MFS were SUUUPER-stuttery.

The user does not have a sharp eye, the user is just guessing. I downloaded the video, zoomed in and even played some of it frame by frame, the numbers are unreadable.

All these preview shots and videos look very nice indeed. But they are just eye candy until we know whether normal mortals with an average PC can actually get to see them with an acceptable fps on their PC's. Until then, it's just prefabricated unnecessary bling and, to be frank, marketing hype.

Much like MSFS when they made their first announcement? After 6 updates and 14 months later to get it right and they still are not done yet?  Yeah its all for the marketing hype alright.

I doubt that any flight sim developer will ever get it 100% right.😂 But better the devil you know....My point remains valid. Given the videos and screenshots we have been shown will my PC be able to see them whilst maintaining reasonable fps?

No one should expect that it will ever get 100% right, but don't keep shooting them down the one's who are they trying.

Impossible to tell with such a low quality video. But Austin did say "Still got new scenery to render".

Shoot them down? Not so much, This is a commercial profit making company and questions are valid.

That was not a question but simply casting doubt calling it "marketing hype" of a work in progress in their lab before it even release as an alpha. Until it release in whatever form, for now it will invalid any question of doubt since things will change in the interim. 

I'm looking forward better for things to come. Lets wait and see what comes of this, then we judge from there.

There will be new experimental code in X-Plane 12 that reads your mindset. If you are a X-Plane hater, your framerate will suffer, your clouds will look pixelated, lightning flashes and ground texures will look just like XP11 and you will be forced to return to "some other" flightsimulation software.

A test version of this software is also running on this forum website already and applies to previews of XP12 as well 😁.

Maybe!😀 But all I care about is whether it will run, with the graphics we have been titillated by, on my average PC? What's  the secret? Yes or no?

You can always adjust the sliders in the settings section to 'Normal Mortals' specs. And when you upgrade to the next generation of PC hardware you can crank up the sliders and enjoy all the eye-candy!
