I would also add Richard Hammond and James May from Top Gear/Grand Tour. Hammond flies helicopters, while May flies small GA stuff, including some sort of taildragger, and of course there was the C182 in the Veyron race from Turin to London.

Golfer Phil Mickelson flys his own bizjet to golf tournaments, also Craig Ferguson comedian/ former late night Tv host also has a PPL.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

Unless the pilot is otherwise frantically struggling to locate the fuel switch or lever, the location of which was I believe clearly brought out in the report.  And I believe he was maneuvering as if feeling out the airplane, so I recall it was not a function of another takeoff from a familiar airport. 

So. It did plummet. So what is your informed assessment of why based on the evidence you personally examined?  I do not recall any issues identified with the aircraft other than the unusual location of the fuel switch or lever.
