New Replay mode in dev options. Did You tried? What do You think about this new mode?

English is not my first language.

just downloading now, how does it work?  Can I fly in normal mode, then switch to dev mode to replay whole flight?  Or do I have to fly exclusively in Dev mode to replay??

Also curious to know how the in-built replay mode works.

Hi. With the new replay feature that Asobo added in SU7, when you replay a flight, how do you switch camera views? When click on the external view button during the replay, I can’t switch to the external view. For some reason, the replay is following my camera views during the actual flight.

But I want to run a replay of my flight and see my flight from the passenger window view.

I am used to the freeware flight recorder from flightsim.to. When I run the replay for the freeware flight recorder from flightsim.to, I can switch camera views easily while running the replay, such that I can switch to the passenger window view (or external view) when I am running the replay. I can’t seem to figure out how to do the same thing with the new replay tool from Asobo.

Edit: I figure it out, you have to click on the "Camera Track Recording" record button.  Then you have free control of the camera.

Wish I read this after spending one hour trying to replay different angles

When replay mode was announced, I didn't realize it was going to simply be a screen recording. How deflating! Am I missing something here? I've always been able to do that with free third party software. Where is the replay mode we've had in past sims... with the ability to change views, look around. I used to love bringing 'er down from the cockpit, then watching that landing from outside the plane. I used to record brilliant passenger-view captures. This was, to me, the GREATEST thing about a flight simulator, and frankly without a viable replay mode, the sim brings me little joy. My buddies and I agree, so much work has been put into this game and so many heights have been reached, but too many fundamental elements have been neglected. I can only hope this is some preliminary replay mode teaser or that I've missed something.

From just a quick look, I have the same feeling.

You are just srecording the screen. Not able to switch cameras, you need to record them separately.

Basic free replay tool mod seems to work better than this native replay tool.

You can change views.  Look at my earlier post.  You have to click on the "Camera Track Recording" record button.  Then you have free control of the camera.

Ok, I had a look at this and you are right. Of course, sim crashed first time I even brought up replay mode. But, It seems that by clicking on "Camera Track Recording" you're able to move the camera freely (including jump to external) and record that section of footage in a different view. This is very exciting for me. Ok, I need to delve more into what buttons do what; it's certainly not intuitive. Like, can I move the camera around without recording? Anyway, when this mode becomes finalized, a short tutorial video might go a long way. Cheers for pointing that out.

I’m guessing there is going to be other iterations of this because for me it’s quite primitive and I don’t want to fly in Dev mode unless an testing only.. Asobo need to put some real hours into this.

I tried to detach the replay window and move it to my second monitor but it crashes the sim everytime...sigh! Work in progress for sure!

If you have the display replay panel checked off in dev mode you can exit dev mode and see the panel.

Actually I find this tool very powerful, once you understand the logic of the sequences and camera recording, you will be sure to make some awesome videos with that :D.
