November 26, 20214 yr I've purchased about 15 airports/scenery add-ons from ORBX and Contrail (Flightbeam and LatinVFR). All titles I got were reduced by 30-40% and were available between 10-12€ each. No purchase via marketplace. I guess the MSFS marketplace is the only place where Xbox users can buy add-ons. So MS will make its business with them. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

Thanks I've been using it for a good while now and I've been pretty satisfied with it. It nicely upgrades all default airports around the world with better taxiways, taxi lines, more weathered runways, and aprons among other things. No hit on FPS either. All in all, I would recommend it especially if it's on discount.

As I stated I don't have v1.1 which means I don't have any of the items listed as being part of the update. I went to the FSDT forum and edited my post and listed each of the items in v1.1, like you don't know what they are. If you read my question more carefully, you would have seen I asked TWO things, the most important being the 2nd one, in reply to your "FSDT created an add on folder and the update was placed on that drive, not in the Community Folder or the Packages folder. duh" My 2nd question, which you never replied to, which was the most important, because I needed to know if the scenery was installed correctly was: Quote it will create a Symbolic link to the that folder in the Community folder. Do you have that ? This was BOTH an answer to your doubts about why the installer didn't put the scenery in the Community folder, AND a question to know if the next crucial step worked, the creation of the symlink. Because, depending on your reply, I would have then proceeded to ask follow up questions but, as I've said, you never cared to reply, so I could possibly know if the scenery was correctly installed. AFTER verifying if the scenery was installed, we would then proceed to check if you installed the last version, that one with the objects you are missing. Because, something that might have happened, is that you might have copied an OLD version of the scenery ( one BEFORE the update ) in the Community folder because you thought it should have been there but, of course, the updater will update the scenery in the Addon Manager folder instead RELYING on the Symlink to have it mirrored in the Community folder. But if you place a *real* (older) copy of the files in the Community folder, that one will be seen instead of the *linked* (updated) version, which would explain WHY you didn't see the added objects. Instead, if you HAD the link created, we would have proceeded troubleshooting in another direction, checking both if the updater downloaded the correct files or wasn't blocked for some reason. But again, you lack of that crucial answer about IF you had the Symlink in the Community folder or not, made impossible to solve your problem. November 26, 20214 yr @virtuali, it is most unfortunate that your question in the above post was not clear to me a month ago. As I stated in the original request for support, the FSDT installer created an Add On folder on another drive and installed ver 1.0 KEYW at that location so if the symbolic link was not installed then I would never even seen the original version of Key West. I simply read your response with the two questions without any suggestions as a standard delaying tactic and not as a serious look at troubleshooting the problem upgrading to v1.1. Thanks for the full explanation. It sounds likeI if I uninstalled your v1.0 that I should be able to run the installer for v1.1 and if it worked I would have the added items - Dry Tortgus, Loggerhead Lighthouse and the NAS planes - if not, I would not see anything at all. Only made it as far south as Ormond Beach for my x-country solo. Love flying in Fla with MSFS....grew up in Orlando, stationed in Jacksonville during my Navy career, and will be retiring in Clearwater. MSFS renders each place fantastically! I soloed at KTIX (Kennedy Space Center) and built my 200 hours for commercial flying between Orlando Exec, Daytona Beach and KTIX. The flight scheol in Orlando would let me keep one of fheir172s for a few days at a time as long as I put 3 hours/day flight time. After I got my CFI I bought a C150 from the Flight School at Boca and next thing you know I am taking my ATR checkride at DAB in an old DC-3. Yep, the GI bill came along at a great time for me. I got my BS at ERAU, went to classes when I was stationed at NAS JAX (KNIP), and graduated at the DAB campus. 🙂 ERAU also let me test-out for credits in courses that related to my military job...so didn't have to sit thru a lot of classes. GI Bill was good to me as well. 😉 Paid for 75% of my Degree. I’m really tempted to pick this one up as it’s on sale in the marketplace, but not on their website from what I saw.
