December 28, 20214 yr Hmmm, In this case I can be happy that i don`t have the issue. FlyTampa KBOS, Open LC US, FSL A321 SL, ASCA, ASP3D, EA on, Volumetric Clouds off, Rain, Fog, 100 % AIG AI Traffic and Global Traffic. Sitting in the Cockpit watching 29- 33 FPS everything butter smooth. Also on my flight yesterday with the same settings from KATL to KBUR with PMDG 737 and same settings as above ( without rain). I only hat few stutters when Los Angeles came into sight and the VRAM Usage went up from 4,7 to 10,1 GB but I made a visual approach with steady 19 - 23 FPS. Since P3D V1 I never hat such a smooth experience and high fps with my pretty demanding settings. Edited December 28, 20214 yr by 331BK C. December 28, 20214 yr Sitting in KPDX as snow is falling in the PMDG748F CPA B-LJA - and its a slight show even if CPU/GPU is not hitting above 65%. What about Trueglass ? Cant remember which Companys who took this in. PS! Window heat cleared the Stutter fest. so far. Michael Moe Edited December 28, 20214 yr by Michael Moe Michael Moe
December 28, 20214 yr Moderator @Michael Moe, out of curiosity I positioned my PMDG737-900 at Gate G6, 15:30Z, 07:30 Local with snow falling and fps has now fallen from 30 to around 17. Turned on window heats and within a minute fps back at 30. PMDG issue perhaps? Ray (Cheshire, England). December 28, 20214 yr On the P3D forums a person from LM just acknowledged this problem and attributed it to some performance fixes that were included into the Hotfix. However they have to narrow down the exact fix which causes it, so it will probably take a bit longer. Any report is helpful to accomplish this, so anyone who had this go over to the P3D forum and report it. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

They did not attribute it to performance fixes made in HF1. Instead they believed to have fixed it in HF1, which they now know has not been the case. This bug has been present since v5.3 released and it lives on in v5.3 HF1Hi Everyone,We made several performance fixes for the hotfix we believed contributed to this issue but this specific problem will require additional testing to narrow down. Any additional details will help and we will continue to look into the root cause.Regards,Rob McCarthy Edited December 28, 20214 yr by PinkPony
December 28, 20214 yr Yea, they know the bug is crawling around and they just need to find and kill it. Hopefully soon. Eric
December 28, 20214 yr Well just tried ea off using asp3d on a flight from lvfr scel to ft cyyz using aerosoft a333. Made it about 1/4 way into the flight before the massive stutters suddenly 5-14fps fluctuating until eventual crash to desktop. it's great that there are those of you GA guys that have the sim absolutely humming - I am happy for you but for us that use airliners this is extremely frustrating. I am going to try a shorter flight using aerosoft a320 and see what happens same scenario with ea off. Only change one thing for your next test. I would suggest you stick to the same aircraft, same flight plan, same weather (use historic wx option in ASP3D) and depart at the same time. Just change EA=On. Check HDR setting as it’s automatically enabled with EA=On. Whatever you had for the original flight keep that setting the same. Ray (Cheshire, England). December 28, 20214 yr I think Volm Clouds in general is looking downgraded. Combination with ASP3D seems worse. The pop-ups and MSFS like AA or jittering is really bad. I really would go back if it wasnt for performance. Btw. I had a OVC in the metar to KPDX with the FSL A320SL and noticed a really bad rendition on the front windows .it seemed like a plate which was a little smaller than the VC windows. Outside this plate it was clear. Michael Moe Michael Moe Michael Moe

I may try after this flight either crashes or i make it to Toronto. When my ctd happened i noticed wind/weather changed at that time and then it crippled the program to the point of crashing. I using historical data so i should experience that weather change in asp3d again. Ill be through it in maybe 30 or 45 min. Quick update looks like i passed part of the route where i ran into issues last time. Seems i havent had even a stutter yet. Will keep monitoring but so far ea on seems to be working out on this flight. My 3rd party apps are:- ASP3D updates wx every 15 mins Aivlasoft EFB server - sends heading, altitude, speed, fuel flow etc. to the client on a WideFS PC. Pollypot executable for the PMDG737 using simconnect ChasePlane LittleNavConnect I don’t see any of those as a CPU hog. Their impact on CPU resources is minimal. I do assign each of them to two of my cores least used by P3D. And by restricting fps to 30 via my monitor refresh rate and VSync the main core0 only hits 100% when landing or taxiing around airports. The rest have plenty in reserve. Ray (Cheshire, England). December 29, 20214 yr Well Ray finished my test flight and didnt crash although close to east coast it paused a couple times and i thought it was going to crash but didnt. Probably the first time ever i was able to land into ft cyyz maintaining 30fps which was nice.
