iFly Advanced Series 737NG Service Pack 1 now available

Thanks @Tim_Capps @alex86 and everyone!

I've been diagnosed with painter's lung after this stint of iFly 737 liveries....may take a break to recoup the old air bags.🤣  (this isn't the only plane I'm painting... so the paint booth is saturated with toxic aviation paint fumes. 😉)

In the mean time, I took her on a rare night flight and was just as impressed with how she looks at night....chronicled here:

Merry Christmas all!

Here is possibly the last iFly 737 paint this year: (but who knows, hehe)

She is in the library already.

Working now to finish this beauty I'm working on for the CS 767 I picked up on their $9.99 sale. 🙂  Hopefully she'll be done by the end of the year.  Hmmm...we may see this livery on the iFly 737 next year as well. 😉

(This is one of those liveries that I'd paint for myself regardless if it were never requested....as I love this livery, and its bare metal, and its on one of my favorite airframes...so you guys will get to enjoy her as well when I share, hehe)

Seeing only a few days of this year left, not a big deal!
On the other hand, don't forget your New Year's resolutions to paint as many 737s as possible. 😜

I did the same. Not so bad for 9.99.

Holy smokes  that looks increible. It's a good thing I also bought the CS767 on sale. Hopefully we are able to download this beauty soon. Thanks Steve.

Question for the group: is anybody using the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke with the iFly? I’m not having any luck getting the aileron axis or elevator axis to work properly. They lag, get stuck off center, and even when they get close to centering they can’t quite finish. I’ve tried using the standard P3D axis assignments as well as FSUIPC, but it doesn’t work. I posted at Flight1, but there isn’t nearly as much traffic there, so I thought I would ask here.

Any thoughts or experiences are appreciated!

You know there’s an axis sensitivity slider inside the IFly configuration app. I use a Honeycomb Alpha and it works fine. Sounds like you should increase sensitivity. Or maybe it’s conflicting with FSUIPC. I just use the P3D control assignment for controls. FSUIPC for key assignments.

I did notice the sensitivity slider, and I did adjust it. However, that may have been after I set FSUIPC calibration. I’ll try your approach and report back. Thanks.

So I tried it again.  I deleted all FSUIPC configurations.  I then created the X and Y Axis in P3D Axis Assignments.  I then adjusted the sensitivity in the iFly configuration app (tried maximum, minimum, etc).  No dice.  Elevators seem like they are close to correct.  Ailerons are just wrong.  See this video -- sensitivity was set to max.  P3D 127 sensitivity and 1 null zone.

Anyway, it's odd.  I've got this working in the PMDG 737ngxu with FSUIPC.

Well . . . I feel incredibly word not allowed.  Works fine -- once the hydraulics are on!  🤦‍♂️  Thank you.

LOL don’t feel bad, I took off with a door open once😂 That’s aviation. The devil is in the details.

Details indeed.  And a classic problem of trying to configure peripherals in P3D (or other sims).  Most of the time I have the plane cold and dark so I can cause button pressing and knob turning without setting off every warning bell.  Here it bit me.

FS2Crew is your friend. Most of the time anyway. You still have to watch him.

Good reminder about FS2Crew.  I have it setup on most my planes, but I always forget I activated it for the iFly too.

Couldn't live without FS2Crew on the Maddog.
