The feather function in MSFS does not work for any aircraft. If you have AxisandOhs or FSUIPC you can assign the detend button to:
Key down event: "PROP_PITCH1_DECR" and tick "repeat"
Key up event: "PROP_PITCH1_HI_EX1"

This works for me in Axis and Ohs.

I just found the info on the Internet somewhere. Thanks to the one who originally came up with this solution.

Another little bug: when using the beta range in the sim I see the throttle lever go up AND down at the same time, so I see two sort of transparent levers! And I also get a ticking noise. I can't make a screenshot of it because you can only see it in motion: it's as if the lever goes fully forward and fully aft a few hundred times per second. Looks a bit odd. I think the devs may have to look at this a little bit.

 

I see that same issue in reverse with the throttle oscillating up and down.

OK, good.  Below is the FSUIPC7 switch setup I use for the Beta range. I have a Saitek TQ and the switch (T 6 below) is activated when the throttle lever is pulled all the way back. You can, of course, use any switch you choose. Note the Select for FS control and Control to repeat while held boxes are checked.

Again, using FSUIPC7 in a similar way to the above post for the Beta range, the below seems to work where switch T 7 is activated when the Saitek TQ prop lever is pulled all the way back. BUT..... I don't fully understand why if works. In particular, I don't understand why when the switch is activated I need to use Prop Pitch Decr. I first tried using Prop Pitch Incr since when a prop is feathered it is in high pitch (blades turned approximately parallel to the incoming wind direction), but using Prop Pitch Incr moved the prop lever in the sim in the wrong direction.  I can only guess that the below seems to work because of how the sim is making use of the input, but If anyone can help me understand better what is going on I would certainly appreciate it.

You are right about that. I watched about 4 Youtube videos last evening, and am starting to feel fairly comfortable with the G1000NXI. The developer of that software is a genius

I see that there was a hotfix mentioned (can't remember where in the thread) where are the hotfixes located? I purchased the plane a few days ago.

The "fixed" version is V1.0.4

You get it from wherever you bought the plane.

From JustFlight, not sure if they have any hotfixes yet, wish I purchased the plane from the vendors site.
