In the manual it advises that the Env Control System takes account of open doors etc. However, I am not sure this feature is working. I load the aircraft, inside temp is 25, I open all the doors but even with an outside temp of 3c, after 10 min the inside temp remains at 25c - this can't be right. Has anyone else had this? Yes I have seen 25C even in Alaska yesterday.
December 29, 20214 yr Thanks for confirming, I will raise a support ticket with Sim Works Studios. Edited December 29, 20214 yr by dsmbell

I have also noticed this but I have also tried opening the window after engine start and have seen the temps drop in the cabin pretty quickly. December 29, 20214 yr Thanks, good that it works after engine start - I will try that but hopefully they can fix the pre-engine start problem. I will report back when I hear from them.

You can take it to remote grass strips, but easily fly in and out of busy airports. Sounds are fantastic. Performance on my "old potato" (thanks, Mr. Fuzzy) is entirely serviceable, even with the STDBY gauge enabled. Visually, the plane looks fantastic, doors open and close. Does every switch, button and knob work? No. Is the start-up sequence 100% realistic. No. Did Kylie Jenner send me a marriage proposal? No. But the plane needs to be flown by the numbers, trim needs to be taken care of, correct takeoff speeds need to be computed, otherwise your (virtual) relatives will have to cash in your death insurance. The developers seem willing to address any remaining issues. So, all in all, a real winner, released just in time for Christmas and 2022! Thanks, Simworksstudios and WT! I'm having the same issue. I tried flying a different plane yesterday while I was flying with some friends and I just couldn't do it, had to go back to my Kodiak. I'm glad I got this plane right from SWS, it took a bit of time but I must say their customer service is second to none, I'm pretty sure Alex doesn't sleep. I even asked him something on Christmas day expecting an answer in a couple of days and he answered me within minutes, yes on Christmas day! I was thinking about not getting the float version when it comes out and now there is no question, I'm getting it, can't wait. As far as I'm concerned this is the best plane yet for MSFS, SWS raised the bar with this plane. ROG MAXIMUS X HERO, Intel Core i7 8700K, 32 GB's 3200 RAM, Gigabyte RTX3080,

December 29, 20214 yr Has anyone noticed that the VS wheel on the autopilot rotates the wrong way, in my mind... or am I imagining it? Faisal Niazi

For me, pushing (rotating) the mouse wheel "forward" should decrease the VS (move nose of a/c down, like pushing forward on the yoke). Pulling (rotating) the mouse wheel "backwards" should increase the VS (move the nose up, like pulling back on the yoke). That's the way it works in other a/c like the CJ4. Al Yes, that is exactly what I meant... so its not just me... That is exactly the movement I was expecting as you have described.... "Roll FORWARD/DOWN" should drop the VSI, "Roll BACKWARDS/UP" should raise the VSI... Got to be a bug... where do you report it? Faisal Niazi

December 30, 20214 yr It's the default Asobo AP they are using in the Kodiak, hence the same bug. I also reported it a while ago already.
December 30, 20214 yr I am absolutely loving this plane! I find I need to keep a little right rudder trim in during the cruise to keep it from gradually banking to the left. Take-offs and landings are great after the patch, although I have had a few bouncers landing on on full flap. Does anyone get the annoying 'don't sink' warning quite regularly just after take off, even when not sinking? The default C172 G1000 used to suffer from this also. I do know the missionairy bush pilot often turns of TAWS before take off because otherwise Betty is yelling at him all the time.
