apologies ....... I don't use TC & was unaware of its feature in this (traffic %).

I use an ATC addon that controls AI.

absolute tosh again Dave. I like you also have over 20 years experience in this game not to mention in scheduling.

AIG only have regular cargo schedules, which are outdated due to covid, and they dont have adhoc charters for example F1 and the PPE Runs from China that a load of the 747 guys are doing at the moment, they are also missing  the vaccine runs from Brussels and Leige, nor the adhoc flights (for example) that BA are/where doing to from GSP for example and the CVG's that Virgin were doing, just to name 2 companies.

Not to mention the max FDP alleviation granted by EASA/CAA in order so  the european ailines  this year could run the same heavy crews 4/3 or 4/4 cargo runs  into HKG, India, South Africa, all to get around nightstopping iscolating rules in China,HK and India. Once again i believe none of these flights are in the aig schedules.

I could go on for hours about this as I  (and im sure others on this forumn who work for long haul airlines ) have been working hard through covid times trying to make money with adhoc cargo runs to various places to make money.  

I could type you up other nearly 20 companies that are doing cargo / non scheduled stuff that AIG wont have,  and you being from canada will also know for example about the mini basing going on in ICN f(or Air Canada) and the BKK mini base for KLM  for example , all to get around the blessed Hong Kong/China  Covid 14 day hotel prison which is in effect.  Another 2 airlines for example, who have completely changed their scheds due covid which I believe AIG  dont have accurate schedules for, 

I could also type you up 10 private jet companies off the top of my head,  that aig dont have as they cant as private jets dont run on schedules for obvious reasons,  but if they have a idenifier then real traffic will pick that up too.  Something AIG cannot 

You can set up PSXSEECON for the aircraft to sit at the gates on arrival, and you can also set it up to have dummy ai's on the stands using the "learner" program.

Ill give you that psxseecon/real traffic has the issue of coverage which means the aircraft will appear and then disappear if your in a bad area,  egypt and barbados come to mind straight away from recent flights

No ai product is perfect, but with psxseecon you can do a 4 sector day, and follow your aircraft around for 10 hours plus so long as its in coverage,

like others have said if you want to see eyecandy and you dont mind seeing aircraft in the greek islands in January (which would only be there in summer), or ski charters to Chambery in August (which would only be there for ski season Dec-Apr) then go ahead use aig bgl traffic.

I like it as real as it gets so I like to inject the real world flights from realtraffic, I have an ai pack that can do it, and any it misses it tells me, and I can add it.  Not to mention that real traffic also works for XP11 too (even better in some cases) than for p3d.

Question for you fluffy i bought both programs to try out that you are using but ran into issues where the ai were parking at incorrect gates and appearing and disappearing. Is there a work around for both of these issues? More realism forsure but i think for average joe aig aim is more than acceptable.

Me too.  The "one click" thing got me interested.  As soon as I found out it was MUCH more than that, I went back to UT LIVE.

You need to read the manual.   Nico in my opinion has made it quite complicated since he did away with AIL And ParkPos

Yes you are correct I bought realtraffic and also had psxseecon. I tried setting up CYEG with AIL and ParkPos but as you say it's pretty complicated.  

I don't understand how people can get so passionate about disliking a program that nobody is forcing them to use. Just leave it alone then....simple.

Personally, for me AIG is very straightforward given the complexity of the product it provides, last time I looked I had 40+Gb of AI data installed. It is my favourite addon by a long way... 

I am part of the gang that found "One click" not being enough so are using Traffic global.

 

I wish Rob Ainscough good luck with his presentation as it sounds very promising, and he knows his stuff.

I enjoy the old airlines in sim. I had a TWA landing KJFK that someone was using on VATSIM. People still fly defunct airlines. So it makes sense to have them installed. And it was a 727 made it all the kooler😎
