C337 - best Carenado yet?

Yes, that's my understanding as well. Although in this case I could do with a little less realism lol. With headphones on it becomes almost painful its so loud. Anyway...a good plane nonetheless.

Just be glad it's not the AH 140... I liked having eardrums once.

I'm wondering what I'd like Carenado to do next. Looking at their FSX fleet I'm thinking the 500S Shrike which I don't even remember for FSX apart from the Milton Shupe version which I loved. I don't want another Cessna.

My list from them is simple...

185.

Gib.

Is Carenado going to do anything about their pilot figures in the Skymaster i.e. allow selection from the various Asobo pilot figures ?

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

I very much doubt it.

nah, not changed those since fs2004, why change now ? 😄

Well, because the facility is available with MSFS2020, whereas it hasn't been up till now. With Asobo's range of stock pilot figures, gender and ethnicity are now the choice of the player, and I think Carenado should embrace that.🙂

I agree, but I doubt they will... community input isn't a strong suit there. Not one to badmouth anyone, but they tend to stick to 'their' way.

The C337 has been excellent in my hands! Good enough for another video - special VFR flight rules over the Grand Canyon corridors. The GTN 750 integration is perfect. Flight plan entry into the 750 in complete harmony with ForeFlight on the iPad. No issues with the autopilot function. Flight dynamics very accurate when changing course or altitude with the autopilot function.

Re the pilots, Carenado has the best looking pilots hands down! Same pilots have been around for years. They never age! How nice. But it would be nice to swap them out for a different look some time.

Re the Bendix/King weather radar. Yes, it does work. Select rain in the weather menu and the precipitation profiles will show on the screen.

If somebody asked me to describe my default MSFS pilot let alone the Carenado avatars I wouldn't have a clue. It's right at the bottom of my list of priorities.

Oh yeah, for sure!
I even asked them a few years ago to enhance the textures to current standards for that period of time but they said no unfortunately.

No it doesn’t work. What it should do is ‘sweep’ the radar screen and the weather representation will change - subtlety - with each sweep.

This is not Carenado’s fault. It worked very well before SU7 and is scheduled to be fixed by SU8....hopefully.

I am loving the 337.  Next I would like something simple from them, maybe like their Piper Tomahawk.  A good alternative to the C152.

I had a lot of fun in the Tomahawk in FSX.  It flew nicely and was the first plane where I thought, actually Carenado aren't too bad.  I then went and bought the Navajo.  I know one of these or both might have been produced by Alebeo, but you know, they will be Carenado in MSFS.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

We might get a 206 from them. It would be awesome if they could do a 206 in both steam and G1000 variants. That would be top value for dollar as a consumer.  🙂

I would also love to see a 177RG (to complement the 172) or a PA46 with GTN 750 integration. But, a 185 Bush plane would also be top.

Maybe with 2 Piper twins, they will do one of the many Cessna twins they have. A C421 Golden Eagle, or an F406 Caravan II.

I'd love to see something a lot faster - maybe a C90 GTX king air or premier 1 etc.
