C337 - best Carenado yet?

Featured Replies

Twotter is expecting a patch today apparently... not sure why it too that much time to sort sound, but hey.

The external sounds on the 337 are apparently, pretty accurate, they drone like that from what I was told.

I honestly find this quickly becoming my favourite from Carenado... I've always taken them with a pinch of salt as pretty, overall decent, but skin deep. I don't expect systems depth ever from them... but they're good planes to enjoy. (Seneca aside, sod the view from that thing its like flying a coffin)

It flies as well as I recall the fsx/p3d one flying, and it fits the role... fast, great visibility touring aircraft... a niche I couldn't really find happiness with elsewhere. (Their mooney is nice, but i've never been a big mooney fan.)

Only thing that caught me was the tablet placement changed... all their previous aircraft had a yoke clickspot, took me a minute to find it in the cockpit side pocket... why they changed that I'm not sure, but I do love how detailed their documents are to find things like thi.... oh wait nevermind.

All planes are getting a patch to make the buttons and switches easier to find by YouTube content creators!

In all seriousness, good to see you here AvAngel, and thanks for your thoughts and posting them on here - I agree.
A lot of people here watch your videos so you posting your thoughts here will be a treat for them.

I mean come on... they moved it and told nobody 😄 Not  my fault! I expected it to be on the yoke like usual 😄

Wierdly, I find myself pointing out many things to you , quietly in my head, when you are having issues with a new plane in your reviews.

The down to earth, unprepared approach to your videos is joyful and makes me 😃

I do it on purpose... I don't want to spend 20 hours perfecting a plane to review it and know every nuance... I want people to SEE what it will be like when you first get in... you know? like... the very first experience every user will get... so they actually know what they're getting. It's my way of being honest.
I'll never proport to be an expert in anything... just no terrible at some things.

The C337 has that magical ability to make you suspend reality and have you believe you're actually flying in a real Cessna....

Then you glance down at the yoke and the world crashes in on you...You're on a computer, flying a Carenado!

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

They moved the clickspot for the tablet on the Seminole also.  I think (I saw it in the update notes if I remember correctly)

Yes I am glad to see you post here.

You are correct. I'm following this plane and looking forward to the review of AvAngel because I like her style of reviewing.
The C337 was also a good plane amongst the other Carenado planes on FSX/P3D.

I am glad you explained that.  I didn't understand it entirely but I see what you are trying to achieve now - I get it!

Count me in on somebody who watches AvAngel regularly!  Love your quick reviews, plus you fly out of KORS, one of my fav places in flight sim.

Never have seen any of your reviews. I just subscribed.

She had nice things to say about the Cesna Bird Dog, which became one of my bush plane fleet. I move the CG forward in it to make it roll in a straighter line. Ed McMahon (Johnny Carson's sidekick) won six medals flying them in Korea.

Yes, that's my understanding as well. Although in this case I could do with a little less realism lol. With headphones on it becomes almost painful its so loud. Anyway...a good plane nonetheless.

Whoops, I was looking at your channel and thought it was the Kodiak on the thumbnail. I'm getting old. 😊
EDIT: watched it and you once again put a smile on my face with "the lost pilots".
