Those of you flying the 320….

Do you use a joystick for realism, or just go unrealistic with a yoke?

Airbus joystick, placed on the left hand side. This is the way.

What version would be the best ATM?
Perhaps I need something until PMDG arrives.

The Thrustmaster TCA sidestick Airbus edition is probably not the best but IMO good value for the money. I‘ve never regretted the purchase.

I have to admit, that i ..... stick with "unrealistic"😬

Well, it is not my fault, that Airbus did not ask me, if they should build their planes with a yoke or not 😄

T16000 + FBW A320 = Success 🙂

As far as I know there's only the FBW A320 NEO. I wouldn't call the default A320 NEO an Airbus....

Waiting for the Fenix to become available.

Whish I could find the time to set my ELITE TQ to go with it - requires FSUIPC 7 freeware version, so, not a big deal, just time for configuring and testing...

I have set up the best "Airbus gear" for my dad.. Thrustmaster throttles + first officer pack, joystick etc.. But my gaming rig is "all Boeing".. Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo, TM-Rudder, Logitech-Tiller. Whenever I feel like flying an airbus I do it on his rig, for all other day-2-day flying, I use my honeycomb gear.. The few times I have flown FBW from my rig, I had to use the yoke.. ssshhh.. let it be our dirty little secret...

I only have a joystick, so there's that. A joystick works alright with any non-FBW aircraft (I mean a lot of smaller planes have joysticks in real life), but the other way around it's really weird - I can't imagine controlling a FBW-plane with a yoke. That feels like controlling my mouse in Windows with a yoke, just weird.

The only Airbus at this moment is the one from FBW...when flying the bus I use this setup:

- Thrustmaster Sidestick + Quadrant + Quadrant Addon

- Cat3design A320 Steering Tiller V2. Highly recommended and a really nice addon with super high build quality, fast shipment, only 7 days from where the order was placed until delivered (Australia -> Sweden) !

Great setup and very similar to mine, although I don't have the tiller (now added to my shopping list!).  At the moment I used the slider at the bottom of the joystick as my tiller - not the best as you will appreciate.

You just got me to shop for a tiller. That set up looks marvelous. Thanks and cheers!

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
