Just Flight Bae 146 update

For me the most important thing is always the depth of the systems, that's why I say that Leonardo plays in another league, but I don't want to underestimate anyone's work.

What systems? Am I missing something with the MD82? It flies OK but looks like I'm back in FSX? Hopefully some one will kindly mod up the cockpit to an acceptable level.

Yes. All of it.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

All of what? I can fly it from A to B but it looks terrible. What's the big deal? I mean, £80 and I have a twenty year old FSX plane.

You also bought the BETA C414 and then complained that you were flying a BETA product.  Perhaps you should do more research on products before you buy them.

I wasn't aware that the Maddog was a beta? My bad I guess.

Didn’t say it was, but almost every reviewer and early adopter pointed out that textures and sounds were it’s weak points.  If you decided to be one of those early adopters then that’s the risk you take.  If you don’t want to get “burned” again then the path you should take in the future is clear.

I expect I'll get over it. Back on topic I must say that the BA146 is absolutely fantastic. And the price was right. Fuel burn needs looking at though.

I think what they 146 does is delivery brilliantly the stuff people actually see and encounter during a flight.

It's not as detailed perhaps but delivers brilliantly on a day to day basis

Gave the -100 a touch of Aussie love if anyone's interested.
Spread over the last couple weeks where I had the time spare and wasn’t flying this wonderful aircraft, I’ve done my best in creating era-correct QantasLink text as accurately as I could - seeing as there wasn't any real decent sources around. You can find the paint ( HERE ) over at flightsim.to if you too want to blast around Aus in the -100! (I'll most likely have it up here on Avsim shortly, too)

I truly can’t get enough of this beaut.  Simply a lovely bird I enjoy day to day while hopping about the place .

If you can find a system that's not functioning as per the real-world FCOMs then let us know and we'll get it added.

I don't need a poll to say that JustFlight and its representatives are #1 on my book.

Hi Martyn,
just a suggestion/question. I use multiple sources for the flow. Among them is the FCOM "AVRO 146-RJ - Flight Crew Operating Manual."  In the "Flight Deck Safety (Volume 3 Part 1)" there is an entry "STBY GEAR INDICATOR - Press each of the three greens in turn. Each green legend should light while pressed."

In the following video (15:50) you can see the aspect in detail. If it were possible from the programming concept, perhaps a complementary inspiration to improve this now already beautiful machine. It's just a thought, With kind regards from a satisfied customer.

I am a huge JF fan. With the hawk, on the other forum some of us were talking about improvements and upgrades and they promptly implemented everything. Clear that they care about the product. And all of their airplanes are joys to fly. Haven't picked this one up yet because the lack of automation intimidates me lol, I am lazy... calculating TOD? No line to follow? ADF... YIKES!

One nice thing about the 146 is that it can land at London City! It is illegal to land a 737 or a A320 at London City. The 717 and the A318 are smaller and nimble and therefore legal to land there.

That airport is wonderful in MSFS (the payware version in the marketplace). It is close to downtown London, buildings (and a lake) surround the runways. It's something like Kai tak in Hong Kong, only not quite that bad.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

BTW I bought it yesterday (737 didn't interest me yet as the FBW 320 handles that niche fine) lol time to learn the old school ways I suppose. Just took it around the pattern so far because it took me half an hour to start LOL
