Will the 310R be in the Microsoft store on the 24th?

Thanks

No release date has been set. Developers say it is close (par for the course but these guys really make sure as much as possible before release). If I had to guess, within the next two weeks for sure, (but it could be any day). Only available at the MilViz site initially (I think).

I hope someone will make a "Songbird" livery for this when it is released.

Did I just show my age with that reference?

LOL!  And it must include Penny sitting in the right seat.....

Personally I will hope someone does 771 Bravo Charlie....

Very nice work.  Is this plane is normally aspirated or turbo normalized?  I think the later 310s were offered turbocharged (?).  I like to fly in and out of high elevation airports.

Normally aspirated.  It still carries a decent amount of power unless you're hot and heavy hehe.

In real life, better get single engine takeoffs down in the 310. I personally knew two different CFIs that were killed in South Florida in 310s on takeoff.

Sure, I can do that. Might take a little time with all those curves and the wacky ways UV maps tend to work, but I understand a paint kit will be included, so hopefully it'll be simple enough. I'm also tacking the Songbird (and maybe Songbird III as well). Plus the military variants.

As for Penny...that's over my pay grade.

Geez, I'm taking a lot on already!

I have to admit, I'm waffling a little between this one and the 414AW from Flysimware, but the individualized state saving is a dealmaker for me.

Yep, a paint kit is included and works very well. This is a fictional livery I made for my flying group. Pity I am the only one who can fly the bird right now 🙂

Disclaimer: this picture is taken with a work-in-progress version of the Milviz 310R.

For the military variants, wait until after release. And yes, the state saving is a real game changer, I have never paid so much attention to details in flight simming.

I had a feeling the military variants might be included or someone else will do them. I'm assuming "Blue Canoe" USAF as well as Navy?

I can't say any specifics right now, but I hope that will change soon 😉

Speaking of liveries, in a way, the coming release prompted me to dig this up out of a drawer to show my family... long ago when I was a plane-crazy grunion in Junior High School, I drew the below based on a picture in Flying magazine, at the time, scaling it up to "C" size, drafting pencil on vellum.  It was a project in drafting class where we were learning to draw technical representations. As you can tell from looking closely at the N number, my skills at the age of 14 were still coming to terms with freehand perspective drawing.

The year was 1974 and I thought this was the sexiest thing I had ever seen, including my first crush Heidi Stout.  Given that this was 48 years ago, and due to having to take a break from flight simming when the MilviZ 310 was available for other flight sim platforms, I respectfully submit that no one has been waiting for this bird longer than me.  🙂

N1274G, a bona-fide 1974 Cessna 310R, still flies today, looking as good if not better than she did so long ago...

Sounds reasonable.

That looks pretty awesome...! Although I personally would get rid of that guy on the right ASAP! 😉 Still... maybe I am imagining things but somehow I seem to miss that 'photo realistic shine'... It looks GREAT but... well, maybe this is just how the plane is: less shiny then others. 😉 I will buy it regardless because I can't wait for the owned mode and failures!

And you can. There is an option to remove him in the tablet.
