I will use the second as you describe above. I know I must be missing something, but while I do see the "GP" show up after pressing APR, I did not see the Yellow Glideslope indicator on the left side of the Attitude indicator. Thank you very much for taking the time to document your process! YW and that's also why I'll post some screenshots next, so you might be able to spot anything else that may be different in the cockpit. By the way I did this all (several approaches including another one just now) with the update that came out yesterday. Have not installed today's. "That's what" - She

March 31, 20224 yr Screenshots to go with the detailed walk-through on previous page: Ready to roll at KSBA. Flight plan entered, RNAV approach loaded and activated, target altitude armed, NAV mode and Climb speed set on A/P, departure and arrival runway headings set on HSI: Enroute to IAF, A/P Engaged, NAV mode, IAS set toi105 kts (I increased it to 110 to better ensure it captured the target altitude and didn't blow past it)" Level flight prior to IAF: After turning the corner at IAF GOLET and enroute to next waypoint (same altitude), pulling the power back: Altitude for next waypoint (ECEVA) dialed in, VS mode engaged and set to -500fps, Altitude Alerter Armed: Leveled out to next altitude, next altitude step to 1800 for the FAF entered, but VS not engaged yet, Altitude Alerter not yet armed, still in NAV mode Descending to FAF NAPPS: VS mode set to -500 FPS and Altitude Alerter armed. Garmin A/P set to APR mode, indicated by GlidePath (GP) queued in display: At target altitude, arrived at FAF NAPPS, Glidepath queued but not yet captured.... There she goes... GP captured, and autopilot flying the approach: Here I made the mistake of fiddling around with the sun visor and let my airspeed fall too low. As a result I have fallen below the glideslope: Adding power to correct and I'm not great at flying and taking screenies at the same time: A/P disengaged: And we're down and off the runway.... I LOVE listening to the exhaust cool down after a flight. Ping....ping.... Edited March 31, 20224 yr by Stoopy "That's what" - She

March 31, 20224 yr Just now, Stoopy said: Bummer, I just learned how to use it. How can we reset it per the manual if we need to adjust fuel? I wonder if toggling the master switch will still work... Initial cold and dark state of fuel totalizer shows it lit like in test mod. However, when you turn on master it powers on as expected. I tried to set correct amount of fuel but for some reason it reverted to full tanks. I still not sure if I used it correctly or it just a bug. If I were owning 414 I would wire fuel totalizer to avionic switch or other dedicate switch or circuit breaker. I would drain my battery on this gauges just because I flick master switch Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). March 31, 20224 yr Here is another odd thing. Since 1.2 mixture doesn't function anymore. I just departed CYHZ and at full take off power 40'' my fuel burn was 19.5 gph (per engine). After transition to cruise climb 35'' my fuel flow increased to 20.5 (per engine) Since I have no control of mixture anymore I can't explain why I burn less with higher power. Anyone? March 31, 20224 yr Thanks Stoopy! I was able to RNAV the approach. The key was to capture the glide slope from below it...previously I was timing it too close and coming in from above. March 31, 20224 yr What a royal PITA it is downloading the installer for this plane. Super slow and corrupt half the time. Should've just waited for the Beta to end and got it from simmarket or orbx for 10 bucks more🤦🏻

Asobo has a software switch for “automixture”. It is applied here on an aircraft specific basis so you don’t have to make a global change to MSFS which was the previous workaround to address Asobos lack of real mixture. -B
