Thanks Stoopy,

The take away I get from the above is:

  • Arrive at FAF at correct FAF altitude
  • PMS GTN750 is still set to GPS mode
  • Press APR mode on A/P

Pretty sure I tried all this, but I did use the 1st GTN to setup and initiate the RNAV approach. I will use the second as you describe above.

I know I must be missing something, but while I do see the "GP" show up after pressing APR, I did not see the Yellow Glideslope indicator on the left side of the Attitude indicator.

Thank you very much for taking the time to document your process!

YW and that's also why I'll post some screenshots next, so you might be able to spot anything else that may be different in the cockpit.

By the way I did this all (several approaches including another one just now) with the update that came out yesterday.  Have not installed today's.

Bummer, I just learned how to use it.  How can we reset it per the manual if we need to adjust fuel?  I wonder if toggling the master switch will still work...

Initial cold and dark state of fuel totalizer shows it lit like in test mod. However, when you turn on master it  powers on as expected. I tried to set correct amount of fuel but for some reason it reverted to full tanks. I still not sure if I used it correctly or it just a bug.

If I were owning 414 I would wire fuel totalizer to avionic switch or other dedicate switch or circuit breaker. I would drain my battery on this gauges just because  I flick master switch

Here is another odd thing. Since 1.2 mixture doesn't function anymore. I just departed CYHZ and at full take off power 40'' my fuel burn was 19.5 gph (per engine). After transition to cruise climb 35'' my fuel flow increased to 20.5 (per engine) Since I have no control of mixture anymore I can't explain why I burn less with higher power. Anyone?

Because Asobo?

Thanks Stoopy!

I was able to RNAV the approach. The key was to capture the glide slope from below it...previously I was timing it too close and coming in from above.

I really appreciate your help!

What a royal PITA it is downloading the installer for this plane. Super slow and corrupt half the time. Should've just waited for the Beta to end and got it from simmarket or orbx for 10 bucks more🤦🏻

I'm not sim developer so I don't know. But wasn't there  some sim fix regarding mixture bug already?

Asobo has a software switch for “automixture”. It is applied here on an aircraft specific basis so you don’t have to make a global change to MSFS which was the previous workaround to address Asobos lack of real mixture.
