Flysimware Chancellor released (Beta)

Hi Ryan. Standard classic 530. I’m not spending any more for the gtn  till this beta is more functional. I’m hoping it is not too far down the road. Sort of hoping this 414 will be the beech Duke for msfs eventually.

I mean, it's already more complex than the Duke.  The Duke was relatively basic (not a knock on the flight model cause Rob did an awesome job with it).  But the Bendix AP was default, there was no custom engine control etc.  If I recall it had the same leaning bug with the turbochargers.

I think the only real difference was the slightly vibrating needles on the duke's instruments.  Otherwise the C414 beats it in nearly every category - of course I'm now comparing a 10 year old addon to a new addon in a different sim haha.

Note you probably still get a frame drop if you use popout windows.

I also get some pretty bad stutters if I use the pop out windows, otherwise it is smooth.

With the Duke everything important was modelled within the limits of the sim at that time. An outfit back in the 1990s I flew metros at had one. Never flew it but spent time talking to a coworker who did. Very cool airplane imho. Beautiful sound in rw. There’s an outfit in WA that does the turbine conversions that Rob modelled and I beta tested. I’d put a couple thousand hours on the -34 engines. I’d have loved getting my hands on a t-Duke  in real life.

looking forward to the C414 as it matures.

Just curious, but given the diverse capabilities of the free version, what more does the payware version provide?

So far, much better detailed airport diagrams, sectional maps appear automatically as the map background on certain procedures, and traffic display.  Looks like pretty much all the stuff that is disabled by default on the free version of the PMS50 GTN,  And I have only scratched the surface... likely other owners of the TDS GTNxi can answer better than I can.

PMS has a freebie version of the GTN750. It is basically a reskinned default G1000, which is now using some of the g1000nxi code.

the TDS one is only paid, and uses the 750NXI Garmin Trainer software from Garmin themselves. This software functions superior in the navigation aspect to the PMS one since it uses the actual Garmin stuff.

I just found the cupholders today.  They're animated with little squeaky sounds.   Brings this plane into Kodiak territory.  😁

Did an uninstall and reinstall and this time got my first good flight. Now I see why people are so pleased with this aircraft. Still using the 530. have yet to decide whether to buy a GTN750.

The PMS GTN is free to try. It will give you a good idea of what the paid PMS or the TDS will be like in practice.

Does the "hotfix" imply we don't uninstall the previous version?

No, just implies it's a more limited number of changes,  and still installs the same way.

This looks like a good twin.
