I do have one question right now though, if someone could kindly advise me. I am wanting to study up more on this fine aircraft, but I cannot remember where to find/download the manual? I know it saw it mentioned in this thread somewhere, but this is now 21 pages long. Appreciate anyone that can point me in the right direction.

Had the same experience the other morning...Victorville to Burbank.  After clearing the mountains in solid overcast, punched the approach into the 750 and let her do her thing.  Did some vectoring manually, but in the end...never seeing the ground until I broke out...on glidepath and centerline....very immersive!

Looking at this one quite seriously.

A Q re the Avionics.

Can you set up an IFR flight & an ILS approach & fly them with "Panel 1", [per the Flysimware product page], or do you need one of the TDS or PMS50 GTN750 options installed to do that?

Supposedly, but I am not yet there with my knowledge of the aircraft. Still learning the systems. The flight I did last night was with 'panel 1' as you say, but I was just figuring out the avionics on the flight.

I mean if you're flying traditional navigation...you can always tune a VOR or ILS etc.  Are you saying you want to load a flight plan from the airport selection screen in the sim?  If you do that it should load into the default GNS530... that unit itself is trash imo haha...  but I think it will load points from your MSFS generated flight plan.  Once you approach your destination just load up the ILS frequency on NAV1 radio, change the CDI from GPS to VLOC, and change your OBS knob to the inbound course on the ils (if you want - not required for an ils signal but I've never met a pilot who wouldn't do it).  APR mode should intercept the ILS at that point.

Two parts of the AP I cannot get to work.

Just did a flight from EGNT to EGPH

Here is the drop off point to fly a heading of 028 to the LOC. I am on VS but nothing I do will make the AP HDG work.

The other part I cannot get to work is the GS.

Locking onto the LOC is no problem as you can see here even with these winds.

But even when the GS captures it will not desend.

The GS just drops away and it stay level.

I just ended up using VS with LOC and flew down that way.

At 500ft I just hand flew it.

That's a new one....hmmm interesting.  Never seen HDG not work.  I've seen GS not work however.  I was on their discord this morning and they said they've fixed all that - to be patched soon-ish.

@Nyxx: are you using the free version of the GTN750? If so, the AP won't capture LOC and GS. It's a bug I hope they fix soon.

There are so many permutations to work out and test, I really feel for the dev here.  3 different GPS units, 2 different primary navigation methods VLOC vs. GPS. Then the scenario of starting off with one mode and completing a flight with the other.  That's 12 different flights to test each scenario only once.  Good thing it's such a pleasure to fly.

We're gonna need to be real specific about what exactly didn't work with what where, going forward.  But I have confidence FSW will nail it!

No, its the TDS paid for one.

A common mistake I make is not having the CDI set to GPS.

I noticed on their site that there have been several updates. Maybe another tomorrow.

Once you have registered & purchased, do you get email advice of the updates, or do you have to check their site periodically?

Also, when you D/L the update, do you delete the current version in the Community folder, replacing it with the update?

Uninstall the version you have first.

Usually on discord they notify people.  Also an email is sent out.

I;ve never been notified of an update since launch, i don't do discord either, so i just check every now and again for updates. It would be good if they could email update notifications.
