Flysimware Chancellor released (Beta)

Featured Replies

Just purchased the 414 & the TDS 750xi, & loaded it all up.

After an initial 414  'wouldn't start', reloaded it again ok & in the 750 I set up a flight from Philadelphia to KJFK, & in MSFS set the weather to Real Time. (Cloudy, damp & breezy)

Threw in an ILS approach into  Rwy 04 for the h-ll of it..

It was a delight to fly.

After I had adjusted the MP & RPM's & mixture I let the AP do the rest.

It picked up Rwy 04 without any issues & followed the FP all the way down to the runway, crabbing in for  the landing in the 17 kt crosswind.

As others have said, the 414 has personality & is very immersive.

Money well spent.😃

I have yet to delve way into the Garmin manuals, so could someone tell me how to get a magenta Flight Plan line to show up on one of the 750 maps?

Thank you

I thought mixture was set to auto in the config file and didn’t need to be messed with.  Am I wrong?

Probably not. I just adjust mixture on aircraft when the levers are there, out of habit😃

The GTN either PMS or TDS functions apart from the GARMIN AP. In the PMS you can load a FP from MSFS map. For the TDS you will need to build or load your FP apart from the MSFS map.  Easiest way is via SimBrief. From there you can export a .gfp file from SimBrief directly into the TDS.

Start by clicking on an airport on the map, and push Direct-to, and activate.

I load the flight plan on both 750’s

The one on the rights staying as it is. The left on, I press the back button to get to the main menu and press the map icon.

You then have the map with magenta line and the flight plan displayed.

I've been flying the Asobo King Air 350i & am wondering what features, immersion & so on does the Chancellor offer that is/are better than the 350i?

Just flew the 350i for a test flight, and after the C414, it sure feels like a "default" airplane.. 🤫

Just love the 414 - have many hours on them in real life & I feel right at home flying this one - but the thing I noticed today when doing an ILS(hand flying) that the steam ILS indicator works but the red flags are still up - any ideas

Agree that the C414 is something special.

I am just getting to grips with the TDS GTN 750Xi

If you use it, can you tell me which of the 750Xi units you run in your dashboard, as there appear to be options? (Which on the  Pilot & which on the FO side?)

Also, I am looking for a tutorial/instructional descriptive, or video flight, where an IFR flight & ILS landing is set up & undertaken  using the 750Xi.

Thanks

Can you elaborate on what this means?  Thanks.

Generally I use the Left one for my flight plan, and then I use the right side for charts, pulling up Atis etc on COM2 etc etc etc.

Inputting a flight plan is very simple. Click the Home button on the right side of the bezel then Flight Plan. Input your flight plan there. Very intuitive, think IPAD/tablet/Smart phone like.

For an approach, you can either click on the airport you want to select the approach for on that Flight Plan page and select load procedure, or from the Home Screen click on procedure key and then go from there. It is very intuitive. If you have ever used a tablet or mobile app on your phone it should be second nature. Alternatively you could hit youtube for GTN750 tutorials. But playing with it will let you learn all the crazy things it can do.
