Thank you.

I suspect you are referring to following the magenta line in the TDS unit.  Click the CDI button and make sure it is showing GPS instead of VLOC.  Pressing the NAV button should then follow the route displayed in the TDS unit.

NO, not at all. The AP NAV works great. Its when I want to goto a heading and all I want is to use the HDG on the AP to make the turn to what Ive selected on the HSI.

I'm really looking forward to FlySimWare addressing the autopilot issues of this plane. It's all that's keeping it from being a truly outstanding aircraft.

Since the paint discussion was broken away to another forum....if you guys are interested in the liveries I'm doing...you should head over there to look as I'm posting preview pics. 😉  Right now I'm doing N414BL and after that N2744X which is S4 Aviator's red 414 that is a great looking paint (big youtuber)

Here is the post back on page 19 in this thread where the mod moved the paint discussion, which has the link to the paint thread

EDIT: Silly Avsim...the links inside threads always link you to the 1st page....here is the actual link to the painting thread

I give up.....Avsim please offer a 3 week course on how to successfully link other threads in your posts.  I know 3 weeks is a little short for short for such a complex topic, but I'm that is all the time I can commit to it. 🙂

Is HDG displayed on the AP?  If you have ROL displayed click again to get HDG.  If you do have HDG displayed but the aircraft doesn't turn I don't know what to suggest as I do not have any problem with HDG.

I believe to have HDG you must also have a pitch mode - so IAS or VS.  Don't forget to arm the altitude (the tiny white circle to the right of the altitude selector) if you want the AP to capture your altitude.

Please tell me it's the new N2744X?  The sexy maroon one with curves!

Yer I figured out the capture but it seems you have to be more in VS than IAS for it to triger the ALT Hold. It might be becasue I not in IAS or VS for HDG to work will go look.

BTW this Aircraft need some lieverys as the ones on download apart from steves white one are rubbish.

I'm doing the straight line one he mostly shows in his vids (and I like straight lines...easier to paint LOL...but like them better in real life too)

Boooo lol.  I should have started with a straight line paint.... especially on the nacelles the curves are challenging for me.

I am loving this aircraft more and more! Last night I completed a flight from Bella Coola airfield to Campbell River. Climbed up to cruise altitude, kicked on the AP to follow my flight route, and then enjoyed the scenery while studying the cockpit in more depth (so much good detail to love there!). On descent and approach into Campbell River, I encountered some rough weather with thick clouds, very low visibility and rain. Using all the great instrumentation in this aircraft simulation, I was able to safely enter a circuit and get her down on to the runway nice and easy, despite the weather. Taxied to the apron for shutdown, and then, as rain was pitter pattering on my windscreen, I realized how much fun I had just had. I was SO immersed in that approach and landing...it was awesome! Great stuff! 🙂 🙂

I do have one question right now though, if someone could kindly advise me. I am wanting to study up more on this fine aircraft, but I cannot remember where to find/download the manual? I know it saw it mentioned in this thread somewhere, but this is now 21 pages long. Appreciate anyone that can point me in the right direction.

AMD Ryzen 9900X3D & ASUS X870E Gaming Plus MB, w/64 Gb GSkill DDR5 RAM, PNY RTX 5090 GPU, lots of SSD's and M.2 drives, HAVN  Case, Virpil VPC Panels 2 and 3, Virpil Constellation Alpha Stick, Virpil Rotor TCS Plus w/ Hawk-60 Collective grip, TM TCA Yoke Boeing Edition, TM HOTAS A-10 and F/A-18 Sticks and TM TPR Rudder pedals. Currently on Win11
