Hear hear!   And the great news is that for all these updates, most have already been confirmed as free (including the IAEs).  Seems unlike another Airbus dev we're all subconsciously comparing this product to, not only will they be free, they probably won't take years to develop, and surely not come packaged with any other "free" software that nobody but pirates would fear. 🤣

I‘m quite sure it was ONLY the IAEs that were confirmed (as in: will 100% come after release). And certainly the only thing that was confirmed as being free of cost. So hold your horses here 😉

Sharklets were also announced as being free on chewwy94s stream as well.

By Aamir himself? Unless I failed reading, I did read yesterday (?) on discord from Aamir himself that they do not know for sure if there will be sharklets and will only decide after release.
Me anyway I‘d rather have the 319 and 321 before the sharklets.

Ahhh...you're right, I should have said just the IAE's....but I can't imagine with the pricing model they've adopted, they'd charge as much for winglets as other Airbus Devs have in the past, but there I go "speculating" again...I'm such a typical simmer! 🤣

One thing is for certain...any other Airbus dev thinking of getting into the market, better not adopt and push dev strategies that worked for P3D, they will be literally laughed off the market. 😉  In fact, unless someone else can actually beat Fenix to market with a better plane at a lower price, they shouldn't even try, and maybe take up....basket weaving instead? 🤣

It wasn't by Aamir himself so unless Matt got it wrong then we will find out at some point.

I'm not an airliner guy, though i enjoy how much others enjoy them, but I thought you big plane people would only get this enthralled over BIG planes like the 747 and A380? I thought you guys liked flying skyscrapers?

 

For some strange reason I really enjoy the talk and the reviews of these planes, just not crazy about flying them.

For sure.  A previous Airbus dev certainly held a monopoly on the Airbus market, esp to folks who enjoyed the fidelity they produced.  They most definitely abused used that leverage to squeeze every penny and pence from their captive audience. 

Just like that other company who charged $40 for an engine option that was just a visual model and different dials in the cockpit (it was confirmed it had no coding differences for performance than the other engines), who is now so emboldened that they just release planes with no cockpits and default MSFS sounds and flight models of vastly different plane.

Simmer's buying decisions have me shaking my head in disbelief sometimes.

We will not be charging for the sharklets. It will cost us money to build as we'd want to do it properly, including some small avionics changes and a new flight model to represent the minutely different drag characteristics - but very simply put, as a consumer, I personally can't justify spending money on what essentially boils down to different pointy bits on the end of the wings.

Chewwy has a new build for his stream today at 1pm U.K. time. Aamir advised nips and tucks were made to the build.

I hardly dare to ask but since there still aren't much video's on YT about the Fenix Airbus (post-NDA) I wonder if there are any good, knowledgeable video's on er... Twitch? Preferably not from people who talk to followers all the time? I don't mind if they answer relevant questions from followers but only if they also say what the question was. I am not interested in first tries from people who don't really know the Airbus. Yeah, I know, maybe I am asking too much. Can't wait for the next video('s) from 320 Sim Pilot.

BTW The above was a genuine question and not just a stab at Twitchers. 😉 And btw too: yesterday I posted I hated Twitchers: that's not entirely correct. I should have said I hate the concept of Twitch: I am sure most of those Twitchers are (or can be) nice people. 😉

I watched Fabio's stream last night, generally I avoid Twitch, and while there were a few subs, welcomes and thanks, it was not much, the rest was mostly answering question and having a really good look at the aircraft.

But one thing I would really like is to get video from Fenix, like a discover series, with all the new cool stuffs and some tuto

Not that you needed to drive another stake thru the "other" Airbus dev's heart...but this info alone should dissuade them from even trying to enter this market...unless they look forward to the 6-7 diehard fans who'll buy it just because its from them...that is what I forecast their total sales will be because no sane simmer would buy into their MSFS product line, when yours is clearly better, less expensive, and comes with no other "extra" software simmers wont ever discover unless they have a parrot on their shoulder. 😉
