I know it's just a "pipe dream" but wouldn't it be wonderful to see >>>  "Rising from the Ashes of MS FSX", comes Eaglesoft Development Group ready, willing and able to take on projects like the Citation X, Dassault Falcon, Bombardier Challenger, Global Express, etc ? <tongue firmly implanted within cheek>

No Eaglesoft had overpriced sub quality visuals even for FSX era visuals. No thanks!

It was a flightsim "bygone" era when some users were happier with 2D cockpits and legibility - which I admit, is sometimes a factor even in MSFS (the legibility part when it comes to glass cockpits)

But I agree - they never really left the FS2002/FS2004 style of modeling and texturing.

That all aside, their systems and avionics were very well done.

Trust me, there are times where I was grateful for the same.

Then I purchased the Bredok 737 and VirtualcoL E Jets for MSFS and I realized I can no longer enjoy an aircraft and simply ignore the bad visuals that the functionality would substitute for.🤣😂

The HondaJet looks like the real deal for MSFS and is dirt cheap at $25.  Available in a week - 5/31/22.  I hope the files lend themselves to some speed and performance mods.  Nothing beats Higher, Faster, and double the range.

Honda Aircraft Company Unveils HondaJet 2600 Concept at NBAA 2021

HondaJet 2600 Concept flying image

LAS VEGAS, NV – October 12, 2021 – Honda Aircraft Company today unveiled the "HondaJet 2600 Concept”, at a special event hosted by Honda Aircraft Company at the 2021 NBAA Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (NBAA-BACE). Presented as the next generation of business jet, Honda Aircraft displayed a mockup of the HondaJet 2600 Concept to collect customer feedback and validate market demand.

The HondaJet 2600 Concept inherits Honda Aircraft’s aeronautical breakthroughs, including the Over-The-Wing Engine Mount (OTWEM) configuration, Natural Laminar Flow (NLF) technology on wings and fuselage nose, and carbon composite fuselage. Through the further refinement of these foundational HondaJet technologies, the HondaJet 2600 Concept will be the world’s first light jet capable of nonstop transcontinental flight across the United States. The aircraft has a quiet and spacious cabin suited for long range travel, can seat for up to 11 occupants, and aims to deliver unparalleled fuel efficiency.

<Specifications>
 A range of 2,625 nautical miles, being the world’s first light jet capable of nonstop transcontinental flight across the United States, and also features a high speed cruise of 450 knots and a class-leading ceiling of 47,000 feet.
 Significantly more passenger space as well as a class-leading cabin tranquility with greatly reduced vibration compared to conventional light jets, due to the OTWEM configuration. The aircraft also has the tallest cabin height, and offers class-leading pressurization with a cabin altitude of 6,363 feet at its max operating altitude of 47,000 feet. Finally, the aircraft will also offer 3 types of modular and highly customizable cabin configurations.

<Advanced Technology>
 The first transcontinental jet designed for single-pilot operation, with an advanced cockpit incorporating innovative technologies such as electrification and automated systems, including autothrottle and autobrake, among others. It will offer the utmost operational safety by reducing pilot workload through an intuitive, high-tech interface.

<Fuel efficiency>
 Dramatically reduces carbon emissions with up to 20% better fuel efficiency than typical light jets, and is over 40% more fuel efficient than a mid-size jet during a typical mission.

When introducing the HondaJet 2600 Concept mock-up at the 2021 NBAA, Honda Aircraft Company President and CEO Michimasa Fujino stated, “Over the past five years, we introduced the HondaJet Elite, then the Elite S, to further enhance the original HondaJet design. Now, we are validating market demand as we unveil a new aircraft concept in a different segment from the original HondaJet. With the HondaJet 2600 Concept, which enables efficient transcontinental flight, offers new level of cabin comfort and capacity, and dramatically reduces CO2 emssions, we are introducing a new generation of business jets.”

From what I read a long time ago, the business jet companies don’t work well with flight sim companies when it comes to providing data and permissions etc etc…. Is that changing? Not sure, but yeah was for legal reasons from what I’ve gathered.

Dassault has certainly been willing to work with sim companies. Unfortunately the last time this happened, with the Falcon 7x for P3d, the sim company in question released a godawful mess, so it didn't help much. 😉

I'd love to see a high-quality CitX+ or Falcon 7/8x come to MSFS. Those things will cross the pond just fine, but will still takeoff and land from smallish airports.

I like the Longitude but I think people prefer the CJ because, at least from a navigational standpoint, the CJ is far superior to the broken G3000.  When WT does their refresh for the G3000 I think I'll lean towards the C700 - mostly because its faster.  The CJ4 does go in and out of tiny airfields though which makes it still very enjoyable to me.

There is no reason we can't have both the CJ4 and the Longitude as choices other than the resources are already stretched thin at the WT shop.  One of these days maybe it will all come together and we have the necessary avionics for both of these great jets.  The G3000 update for the Hondajet might be the kickoff needed to move the G3000 to the front page.  Then it can trickle down to a handful of waiting panels.  I still like the Evolution with the mods for complex single flying high and fast.

I'm still confused as to what "updates" to the G3000 the Hjet offers.

The G3000 will actually be able to allow for accurate navigation and flight plan loading etc.  The current one is a mess - but if you're only flying point a to b you wouldn't really notice it.  The way it currently sequences legs of a flight plan is a mess etc etc.

So it actually sequences stuff correctly?? That's the main reason I stopped using the WT version, unsuitable for navigation unless you are literally using it to go A-B........

It currently doesn't.  I'm speaking of the new G3000 refresh that will be available in the Marketplace (similar to their G1000 Nxi).  They showed a very early preview shot of it on their Discord.

If the manufacturers would play nice with flight sim, a nice study level gulfstream or global express is all I would ever want to fly. Unfortunately, up until now the pool of corporate jets has been very limited… there was a nice citation X way back when, and a nice mustang.. that’s about it I think?

Yeah that's about it.  FSW did a decent older Lear 35.  I think they even recently added a basic FMS sort of unit (UNS) to the P3D version.  xtreme prototypes did a lear 25 with a similar fashion.

Probably the most complex in any sim to date is the Hot Start Challenger in XP11 - which came out fairly recently.

Oh thought you were saying the changes to the G3000 in the HJet make it sequence stuff correctly. Shame, guess I'll be waiting until they integrate the refresh in it ....

We are all guessing the new Hjet will have a limited G3000 and require some tweaks to smooth it out.  We could be surprised and find a nice workable G3000 on day one.  Release day is still May 31st at the MarketPlace.

I know the Flysimware Lear35A is coming to MSFS. I don't know when, but I do know the Lear35 textures are currently being worked on for MSFS.

And after the L35A, maybe the Falcon50 if all goes as planned, but that will certainly not be soon.
