May 25, 20224 yr I'd suggest deactivating ALL your add-ons so that you only have the fenix and a complete default installation. And then test it again. PC setups especially with a highly custumizable sim environment are tricky in pinpointing the cause of the problem I have had some CTD's here and there where the sim simply shut itself down in various situations. But in about a dozen Fenix flights only one. Edited May 25, 20224 yr by Farlis
May 25, 20224 yr I don't fly long flights, but I have had no problems at all and I have the Tool Bar PB installed.
May 25, 20224 yr I made a lot of flights with the Fenix A320 already , with no CTD's and no other crashes or anomalys ( but my longest flight i had until yet was 3h15m ) and my community is allmost bouncing and the pushback addon 1.41 is installed all the time.. May 26, 20224 yr Author Here is what I found out guys! I repeated same routes I have experienced CTD earlier, and was able to complete them without any problem . The difference was is that I was avoiding using navigraph app in EFB during my entire flight. Prior that I would load route in navigraph app that show map with miniature airplane which shows my position relative to my route, and use it during the flight . Three flights out of three I experienced CTD just about TOD. Now, I can’t tell for sure that navigraph app is exactly what caused CTD. But two out of two CTD free flights statistically sound. Can confirm this - happend to me too. Long flights with the CJ4 , as you prescribed mostly short before reaching TOD. Since than I resist to follow my flight with navigraph. Best regards Detlef
May 26, 20224 yr I will hazard a guess that it is scenery related. IMHO Scenery is the biggest culprit for CTD's in MSFS. What I tend to do now if I am doing a long flight, not that I do many in MSFS as no long haulers that are like the PMDG / FENIX / BAE / MD82 is before the flight I load both the destination and the Arrival airport first to make sure they load without a CTD. Also if I am crossing any areas with Add-on airports that I am aware have not been to for a while or were not updated after a SIM/World Update I load them too. I know it seems excessive and it isnt always full proof but it sure beats wasting 5+ hours only have to your sim go poof and your desktop to appear like it never happened 🙂
May 26, 20224 yr Had my first CTD with the Fenix, actually my first CTD in almost two months. It was on cruise level over the pacific ocean. It was the dreaded 0xc0000005, so I guess it was just bad luck. I only had WSSS and RPLL active in my community folder, so I'd rule out any mod/mod conflict. As I said I wouldn't attirbute this to the Fenix, because I've had that with other aircraft, too, in the past year. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
May 26, 20224 yr Is it possible to restore a flight (after a CTD) with the Fenix using the auto-save function of Volanta (https://volanta.app/ )? I haven't bought the Fenix so far, i.e. I can't try it myself.

May 26, 20224 yr The only CTDs I got with the Fenix bird were because I had incorrectly set my Virtual Memory settings in Windows.
