Fenix Future Releases?

Featured Replies

What algorithm? Their discord has more than 20k accounts. Their first youtube video has 78k views. I'm not sure what other metric you can use to guesstimate how many people purchased the aircraft, but I am curious to understand it.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

I really hope we will eventually see all models of the A320 series including the Neo's even if it takes a few years to get that.  Having all series made by one developer creates a lot of consistency that you would not be possible with different developers.  I suspect that most of the work is modeling and then some FDE tweaks.  For an established developer that should not be that big of a deal even if MSFS has made things more difficult then in the past!

I plan to buy the Fenix A320 as soon as my budget allows and especially when the IAE and sharklets version comes out.  It would have been a day one purchase for me if it was formally announced that all versions would be coming eventually.  I suspect I am not alone here and it cost Fenix some sales.

I used to forecast grosses for movie films for a major film studio in the past.  Sometimes we missed the mark but my team was mostly spot on.  Using an algorithm we used (likely outdated now) I estimate PMDG sold 25000 copies of the 737-700 and Fenix likely sold a little less then that at 20000.  I have a hunch that if a complete A320 series was announced like PMDG did for the 737NG series they would have matched or at even exceeded 737 sales.  The flight sim community likes commitment and completeness.  Of coarse flight sim is not anything like the movie business so take my numbers with a grain of salt!

There's another hurdle for Fenix, no Paypal. That has to have hurt their sales to some degree. Google Pay does not work if I try using Paypal. I get a Paypal not accepted in this store message when I try to checkout.

I use Paypal all the time, but when I heard about this delay, I thought knowing Paypal, this could take forever to resolve, so I just dug out my Amex card and bought the A 320.

I'm only interested in the A318, it can land at more airports.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

I am so in love with the Fenix A320, it is so addictive to fly. An A321 from them would be incredible.

Specs: 11900K (5ghz), 64GB ram 3600mhz, RTX 3080 ti

Yeah this or even A319 would open up some interesting possibilities (Florence would be my first destination) . A321 would be more or less the same as 320. At Fenix pricing and quality 321 would still be a screaming buy for me though.

Are there any interesting news about Fenix releasing their IAE V2500 turbine version? 🙂

I am really waiting for that because I have already flown two times with these beautyfully shaped engines. (Is a P2F converted freighter version release planned too when the IAE turbine version is released)?

A 320 should be able to land at Florence under normal load. Airbus's charts for the A320 suggest that it requires approximately 4,500ft for a sea-level landing at typical landing weight.

Or an A321XLR ❤️ soule be too good to finally cross the Atlantic without jumbo jets. But I'm not sure we're a 321XLR anytime soon.

Yes, you could land the A320 to several short runways. In many cases (such as LIRQ) your plane would be stuck there unable to take off, though.

Don't have to take off with full fuel and passengers. I once saw a B747 take off from KFLL, 7200 foot runway ..

Sure, MSFS is your play ground and no one can tell you what to do with it at the end of the day, I guess.

I would prefer Fenix to just concentrate on their current series and all their variants (engines etc.), and make them the best they could possibly be - that is a fair few years work just there.
I would like to see the 321 next, then the 319, then the 318.

FBW are doing the A380, and it will be brilliant, and I believe they are also collaborating with someone on the A220, so I hope people leave those models alone.

The A350 is difficult as there isn't much info out there yet, and Aerosoft are looking at doing the A330 apparently, although they won't be getting any more cash off me.

I am certainly looking forward to the Inibuilds A310, but more so the A300, hopefully with B2, B4, and -600 variants.

I still think we will get more surprises from developers during the 40th anniversary release, with payware, not just the MSFS included free aircraft.
There will be some coordination for the 40th Anniversary, with maybe some good sale prices hopefully.  The PMDG -800 may be on offer at $50 by then!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

SAS flys the A320 to LIRQ in real life from time to time. I dont think they are all stuck there ;-)
