Have taken MANY flights out of KEWR and would love to see it properly represented. Drzeweicki does amazing work so am really looking forward to this. Would also love (as others have mentioned) a better KLGA and KJFK, but at least for now there are reasonable enough options to use while we wait. Not to mention the outrageous tolls going into Queens and the horrific traffic. I used to fly into LGA years ago from Chicago since they usually had pretty cheap fairs, but even that was a pain in the word not allowed. I lived in Wayne NJ so I was only about 20 minutes from EWR. Pretty nice airport too with some great places to eat! Cheers, Pete Pete Solov - Lake in the Hills 3CK and Schaumburg Regional 06CProud AOPA Member - PPL 2001Real World Piper Cherokee Pilot

Probably Yep, even since I moved to Chicago years ago I’ve driven back east a bunch of times. Those tolls are no picnic either. I get to see how bad I got gouged once I am home and I see my I-Pass transcript! I even got a photo speeding ticket in Washington DC a few years ago, ouch! June 8, 20224 yr As someone who knows KEWR intimately (It's part of my AVSim ID), I'm ecstatic to see a new EWR. PA NY/NJ is building a whole new terminal so I wonder if that will make it into this rendition. There was a question of "who would want to fly into EWR over NYC". Most travelers find getting to Lower and Mid Manhattan from EWR far better/faster than from JFK. I do not think LGA has the volume EWR does. Only bad part are the delays at EWR are massive. Forced SouthWest to stop flying there. Bring on a EWR, a LGA, a JFK, hell.. go for it and even throw in a SWF and get all the PA NY/NJ airports! "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma

During flight training I was based out of MMU and later CDW, I'd take a VFR trip from one of those to ISP. I think I read you were in Wayne at one point (used to love Willowbrook Mall BTW), so I'm sure you've flown out of CDW or Lincoln Park. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma

I grew in Wayne, lived there for 23 years and spent way too much time at Willowbrook mall back in the 80’s & early 90’s! I actually got my pilot license in 2001 at Schaumburg 06C after I moved to Chicago. I did rent a plane a few times back in the early 2000’s at CDW and even did a touch and go at Lincoln Park (although I don’t think that was a great idea since it was very hot and it’s a pretty short runway). On one of the flights I took my best friend out over Rutgers where we both went to college. That was super cool. I think one of the other flights I flew out over Mahwah and Monsey, NY since I used to play hockey out there at Sport-o-Rama. I’m hoping to get back east again this summer. June 8, 20224 yr This is awesome! Thanks for sharing this. It always felt as though KEWR was the forgotten stepchild of the simming world. It is a major airport, a United and FedEx hub, and a major port of entry for one of the biggest cities in the US - and the world. It deserves a high quality rendition. Stoked we are finally getting one! As a passenger I avoid EWR, but as a simmer I love the scenic approaches, airport layout and dated 'retro' vibe. However, they go to most major destinations in Europe and Asia. It is essentially what JFK is but for the metro New Yorkers that live on the Jersey side. If you check out Wikipedia you can see all of the destinations. You can go almost anywhere overseas, and many are direct flights. I am only a private pilot and I’ve never flown into KEWR, but I did rent a plane a couple of times at Essex County KCDW which was pretty cool. Regarding EHAM, United goes direct to EHAM from KEWR. Drzewiecki Design made 'NY Airports' for P3D which replicated KEWR, KLDJ, KCDW in one pack and KJFK, KLGA, KTEB in another. I'd really like to see something similar, but the 3 largest airports would have to be more than the very basic renditions we were given last time. (To be fair, this EWR looks like it will be very detailed). Fingers crossed that a NY airports pack is considered and that MSFS plus current hardware could handle all that data around NY/NJ simultaneously. June 8, 20224 yr DD is one of the top (elite) devs for MSFS. The days of three airports for the price of one are over. BTW, speaking to family members from NJ & NYC, that still live there, I'm glad I made the move to relocate to FL after 9/11. MSFS
