June 24, 20223 yr Hello everybody, I am using a 27" 2K Monitor (recently upgraded from 24" FullHD), however I have still trouble with camera view and text size, I actuallly hoped that my new monitor will help a little. When I fly in the Fenix, it hard to read the waypoints on the ND. If I zoom in too much, I cannot see the engine instrument display. Of course I could just move the camera view little to the right, but then it looks odd to me, and taxing is weird. It there a solution for this?

What's you're zoom level? running a 27" 2K local here and it's fine for me personal to read... (I'm using zoom-level 50) But on the other hand I'm using Track IR so natural to view all displays from different angles. Edited June 24, 20223 yr by awf André
June 24, 20223 yr I have the same display and resolution and have no problems either. Perhaps you are sitting too far away from the display? For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
June 24, 20223 yr If it's not too late to send back the 27" screen, I would so. I have 2 screens on my desk, a 24" and a 32" screen. I can read everything on the 32" inch screen and nothing on the 24" screen. And the 24" is actually a bit closer. Both are 2K displays. First, I go bigger. Then I do a resolution increase, when $ allow upgrading cpu, gpu, and monitor. But first priority for me was to upgrade in size. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
June 24, 20223 yr Do like I do -- and a lot of other simmers -- buy a big screen 4K TV (mine is 75") and use that for your display. You won't have any trouble reading the text. June 25, 20223 yr My vision is very poor. I really don't have much choice. The price of these big-screen TVs has gone down tremendously in recent years. When I was growing up in the 1960s, the rule-of-thumb was that your TV should cost you about one month's pay. Today it's more like two or three days' pay. And of course today's TVs are a thousand times better. Some people object to using a TV with video games on the basis that a lot of TVs can't do a 120 or 240 refresh rate. But let's be honest: nobody is going to get 120 or 240 FPS out of MSFS anyway. I keep my frames locked to 30 and all is well using the TV with MSFS. Processor: Intel i9-13900KF 5.8GHz 24-Core, Graphics Processor: Nvidia RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6, System Memory: 64GB High Performance DDR5 SDRAM 5600MHz, Operating System: Windows 11 Home Edition, Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX, LGA 1700, CPU Cooling: Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling, RGB and LCD Display, Chassis Fans: Corsair Low Decibel, Addressable RGB Fans, Power Supply: Corsair HX1000i Fully Modular Ultra-Low-Noise Platinum ATX 1000 Watt, Primary Storage: 2TB Samsung Gen 4 NVMe SSD, Secondary Storage: 1TB Samsung Gen 4 NVMe SSD, VR Headset: Meta Quest 2, Primary Display: SONY 4K Bravia 75-inch, 2nd Display: SONY 4K Bravia 43-inch, 3rd Display: Vizio 28-inch, 1920x1080. June 25, 20223 yr If you are referring to the menus and texts in the sim, they can be adjusted in the general options settings. NZXT H7 Flow PC Case. 6X Corsair LL140 RGB Fans. Seasonic GX-1000 Focus Gold Power supply. Asus ROG Strix Z690F. Intel Core i9 14900K @5.7Ghz. NZXT Kraken X63 280mm AIO. 64Gb (2x32) Corsair Dominator DDR5 CAS40 @ XMPII. EVGA 3090ti FTW3 Ultra. Main Fltsim Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2Tb NVME.
June 25, 20223 yr I think the OP means the in cockpit display. If he does, increasing the render scaling may help.
June 25, 20223 yr I feel this is just an issue by design running 1440P on a 27 inch display. Smaller denser pixels unfortunately. I personally can't sim/game in 2D on my PG278QR. Some people prefer the denser pixels over actual size of the image, I do not. Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10 MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled) 8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled) 32GB DDR4 3000 Ram 500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2
June 25, 20223 yr But 1440p and 1080p on a 27" screen are identical in terms of the size of things in game when flying. Yes desktop apps are smaller - but a full screen MSFS is identical size wise when your in the cockpit.
