New update out for SU10 Beta

Featured Replies

Can anyone help? It's not downloading for me. It started to download right away it only downloaded the first tiny update. It says downloading above the Second update but it's downloaded nothing for an hour. I can't even play the game now because I can't stop the installation of the update from scratch.

Go to your "C" drive or whatever windows is on & right click properties then, disk cleanup, make sure to select DX shader cache.

Any clue in Raytracing?

Thanks - is this done if there are specific issues with MSFS or as a maintenance task?

I do it whenever there is a SIM update or a video driver update.

I’ve never heard of this, but am interested.

Is there any expert opinion/dev advice to support this practice?

"Unlucky race"? 🙂

Edit: I spoke too soon: The VFR map resizing still causes CTD...

I'm no expert but games that need to recompile shaders when the game or your video drivers are updated usually do this automatically on startup. Microsoft's Forza Horizon 4 and 5 do this for example and display a message about "optimising for your system" for a few seconds.

Bad, in VC (in the external shadows etc. of the aircraft too) is needed since years with its fake and bad or inexistent unrealistic darkness or shadows and more when we have RT cores for nothing, I am going to speak with NVIDIA if I can return only the RT cores of the PCB and to have at least a refund.

The latest BETA today costs me between 10 and 12 FPS, much higher VRAM and brings stutters with DX12.

interesting as no probs here, still completely smooth and no graphics issues at all, not 4k though and just TAA in DX12 and not DSLL

is it possible to come out of the Beta on Steam?

I tried it yesterday (before the last update) and got CTD 3 times when launching the SIM - back in the Beta and the game launched fine.

I had no such issues with SU9 Beta.

More users start reporting this.

Using a i9 10900k

No XR Tookit

Windows 11 fresh install 2 days ago

Fresh install MSFS 2 days ago (everything!)

The sim is in VR barely usable this way.

Reported this of course and now hoping to see some feedback and solutions.

10 cores are having verty high spikes!

Any luck with this? I load into the same spot with same weather every time to check performance after an update and I've also lost roughly 10-12fps. With PMDG cold and dark I'm usually around 50-55fps. Now down to 38-40 fps. 3080ti. 5900x. 32gb ram. DX12 TAA

That's just silly. It's still a good card. All Nvidia cards come with them now, you can't get cards without RTX support.
