This thread was the first time I saw the image and I was blown away ... until my wife told me it was just a hoax 🙂 In any way, I wanted to know if the Webb telescope could actually make a photo like that. It has a resolution of about 0.1 arc seconds, but to take a photo like that sausage shot of Alpha Centauri, I would have to be about 1000 times better. I guess we will have to wait for another 30 years.
