But you DO KNOW this is not from a telescope, in reality this was a joke and just shows a slice of Chorizo (a spanish sausage). Maybe the Creator will eat it....

This thread was the first time I saw the image and I was blown away ... until my wife told me it was just a hoax 🙂

In any way, I wanted to know if the Webb telescope could actually make a photo like that. It has a resolution of about 0.1 arc seconds, but to take a photo like that sausage shot of Alpha Centauri, I would have to be about 1000 times better. I guess we will have to wait for another 30 years.

Maybe the universe was created from the Big Banger.

And a cyclic universe where everything eventually contracts is known as "Bangers And Mash".

US people may need to research that. They no little of our strange ways.

For a renown physicist to post a pizza image is hilarious. He was probably counting hours trying to guess how many hours it would take until someone realized his stunt, LOL !

Well, having read the article in its entirety, the photo of the "cartwheel galaxy" was genuinely taken by the JW Telescope. It is awesome!

He didn't. It wasn't a pizza. It was a sausage. Maybe now you will get my hilarious joke. And give me the praise a great comedian deserves. 😉
