Just to advise, pay attention to Just Flight's key words - Deluxe, Premium and Steam Gauges. (hint) will not work with Standard MSFS Edition.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

Does it support GTN 750?

From description - no

This add-on provides a significant boost to the realism of the default Cessna 172 Skyhawk (standard, float plane and ski plane) included in the Deluxe or Premium Deluxe edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator, with enhancements to the electrical system and many upgrades to the default cockpit instrumentation.

Engine wear and tear is now modelled and insufficient maintenance will have consequences for your Skyhawk!

Electrical system

  • Dynamic battery voltage drop
  • Correct ammeter display
  • External charging available
  • Accurately working relays
  • Battery amperage subject to temperatures
  • Functional circuit breakers, which may trip from faulty equipment

Cockpit and equipment

  • Optional state saving with 90+ points being saved so that your plane will be just as you left it
  • Gyro spin-up animations
  • Custom lighting throughout, dims if voltage is low
  • Gauge needles subject to engine vibrations
  • ADF needle subject to noise
  • ADF needle instrument upgraded to the KI 227-01, which slaves the ADF card to the directional gyro
  • Working cabin heat/defrost
  • Fully functional M803 clock, including settable FT alarm and ET countdown mode
  • Operational MD-41 GPS annunciator
  • PMS GNS 530/430 included
  • Custom-coded KAP140 autopilot corrects and adds a lot of missing features including accurate hold altitude, functional ALT arming, 20ft altitude adjustments and aural alerting
  • Enhanced KT76 transponder, with dynamic radar pings and correct dimming function
  • KR87 ADF with proper testing feature and audible ET countdown alarm
  • All Bendix units feature an accurate font, and the KAP140 and KR87 have auto-dimming displays

Engine wear and tear

  • Spark plug fouling
  • General engine wear
  • Fuctional engine priming
  • Starter overheating
  • Oil usage

Damage

Everything simulated may have consequences if not maintained. From gradual power loss as the hours accumulate, fouled plugs and engine failure from lack of oil, to the struts getting ripped from the fuselage from too many hard landings.

Yes indeed. Not sure why that's the case.

I have Deluxe Edition so the question is do I want another 172 to add to my A2A 172, my Airfoillabs 172 and my REP 172s (G1000 and Steam). At €18.95, I think that's a "yes".

I really like the enhancements listed, sounds about as close to A2A that one might get (for now). The concept of "spark plug fouling" really got me to thinking about A2A.

I'm pretty sure that "only for Deluxe and Premium" exists because the Standard Edition runs a glass panel, no Steam Gauges for majority of enhancements to work with.

I don't think I've seen any plane released so far in MSFS, mentioning "Spark Plug Fouling" and it being related to mixture settings on the ground.

Oh boy it's a bit intriguing offer. I just instructed in 172 yesterday LOL In fact I instructed in nearly all 172 model from model B to model S. No to mention I own P model which hook up for floats!

So there are two ways it can go. I will be very disappointed or recommend for my students to use as training aid LOL

This screenshot gave me a hope. It shows exactly how some of us check alternator  during run up! Master switch consists of two buttons one left one is for ALT and right one is for BAT. If you turn ALT off, you will see ammeter gauge discharge and that will tell you that alternator actually works. Otherwise, you will quickly discover full electrical shut down in about 20-30 minutes). So COMs, NAVs, GPS, lights and turn coordinator will say bye bye to ya! Unless of course you have Garmin G5 retrofit which has it's own independent battery that can hold for a bit longer LOL

Honestly, if this add-on is  truly what it claims, then it would be the first add-on that would make me regret my Standard Edition purchase decision.

You can always upgrade Jim!     I said at release, I don't know why people don't buy the whole lot for the price.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Interesting. One of the first attempts to monetize on the de-encryption of Premium/Deluxe planes? Well that's the interesting part. Think I'll skip this one.

EDIT: Perhaps I spoke too soon. Just read @sd_flyer's post. Word not allowed, I have to skip more lunches if I'm going to keep buying all these addons.

Although there are some really good freeware options, like the excellent 152 mod. I did the first flights of my PPL in a 152. Still remember the callsign: uniform november x-ray 🙂

Drats!!! I broke my #1 rule -- don't upgrade MSFS 2020 original edition purchased. I must have had a childhood trauma of some sort. I upgraded, absolutely pointless action (except I now have a steam gauge 172) How will I ever forgive myself for my weakness? I know, I will force myself to see if the whole reason for this thread is worth the pain and misery.

So guys I couldn't resist and got it. After all I did two instructional flights yesterday that should pay for 737 800 and 172 plus ice-cream LOL

Quick review:

Over all very nice

Pro

- does taxi like 172

- plug fouling believable although not sure if leaning during taxi really do any good (it real life it does prevent from fouling)

- can clear up foul plugs on run up (power close to full, mixture lean for 40 second

- climb, cruise performance believable or very close to S model (I use my standard setup full tanks, two people)

- power off glide 65kts/500 fps close enough

- circuit breakers work , electrical load reflected on ammeter

Cons

- Turn in off ALT on master switch doesn't show discharge on ammeter (only pulling ALT circuit breaker does)

- Windows/doors can't be opened

- normal take off flaps up - little bit nose heavy on lift off at 55 kts (more like 182 than 172), but I guess it's ok. Most 172 N/P/R/S two people full tank will require to trim down little bit to maintain Vy 73-76 kts or 80 kts

Overall thumbs up. It's hard to nail airplane which everyone can afford to fly. I'm pretty sure developers will stay on top and fix all bugs!
