Flying the 310 up in Alaska now towards Anchorage. I guess I will see how the anti ice system  works. I got everything switched on.

Anti Ice worked like a charm, had ice on windows, leading edges and wing tanks, completed the flight with no problems landing at Anchorage on the ILS.

Thank goodness you are safe!  What pray tell was your flying altitude?  LOL!  You should have had 13°C to work with at -2°C per 1,000 ft.

12,000 feet to cross mountains into PANC.  3 degrees per 1,000 puts temp at 12,000  at  20F.....

Anyone try and takeoff on a hot summer day in Mexico City in the 310?

Brought the 310R yesterday for the sales. It flies great and I really like it. The only thing I don't like about it is that the second VOR navigation is not shown. Wish they have it implemented for VOR triangulation.

A second VOR would be great, like in the 414. Did a flight with that one yesterday in Alaska and used VOR2 extensively.

With all the mountains in Alaska, and the few VORs, I would find it pretty hard to find two VORs to triangulate my position at most airports.

Lol. Yeah I've been struggling with Alaska on my GPS-free flights. Canada has been even trickier though.

There should be a second vor instrument coming either in SP1 or a bit later.

Question, can you get the C 310 to take off at Mexico City with no passengers?

I suggested a second nav head at release; I believe they said one is coming.

With AirManager you can easily add a second head.

As in my 310 instrument panel for the plane.

The Dual G5's are nice as well, but you can easily just have standard vacuum/elec instruments.

All the dials work using the Knobster much nicer to use a real push/turn dual knob like the real thing.

310 and now the V35 are my current favs.

How are the flight dynamics?  If I throw it, will the cruise range be accurate ? 😂

Depends what it is made out of. My little brother discovered, back when we were kids, that plastic aircraft models can fly quite well (albeit very briefly) when left on a dresser near an open door if you get a strong gust of wind.
