So you really really like Milviz's 310?

Shouldn't the beta be the final one before release.?

If something is in Beta it just means it is the final testing stage.

Potentially the service pack could stay in beta for a long while with multiple different beta releases before it is declared right to go.

I finally broke down and paid the $40, got tired of waiting for it to go on sale, which may either be never or might only be $5 - $10 off on Black Friday, not worth waiting. I watched Youtube videos first and I like the open cockpit views of this Cessna, so looks pretty cool. First flight in a minute.

Here is an interesting article about how to fly the 310r

The handling is a lot better than most other planes in MSFS. My only minor complaint is the noise when flaps are deployed can be a little "whiny" sounding, that may be somewhat realistic but it's still a bit of an annoyance. Going to see about modding that out or something.

What "whiny" sound???

It's the avionics. In the old Milviz 310 it was way too loud. "It's realistic". In the MSFS version you have to have acute hearing for it to be an annoyance.

I was commenting on the claim that the flaps make a "whiny" sound when they are activated. There is no such sound with the C 310 I am flying.

Are there any comments as to MV C310 flight control feel (lightness/heavyness)?

With the Fulcrum yoke, I have reduced pitch/roll sensitvity to about -60 to obtain an accurate feel which in reality, is just a guess. My R/W experience is limited to C210 which is likely not comparable to C310.

It's the wind noise from the flaps, I can probably hear it because of the way I have my sound dialed in as unbalanced where some things are lower in volume than others. If you have some sounds lowered, then it will sound differently for each person's setup. Like I said, just need to tweak the sound.

It's not the flaps activating sound I am speaking of, I am fine with that. It is the wind noise, especially from outside view, and somewhat from inside the cockpit.

Wind noise from flaps is something I have heard in every GA aircraft I have flown in real life. I also have FS Realistic and have even added some wind noise with flaps, just sounds real to me.

It's not the primary wind noise itself, there is an underlying repetitive whine, it must be the way I have my sound setup or my speakers. Everyone's setup will sound different because of the way speakers color sound frequencies. It sounds like it is on a 1.5 second loop, maybe 3 second max.

I don't hear anything like that and nobody on their Discord channel has commented on any weird flap noise.

It's there, rather it was there, not hearing it this very second. Not sure the cause, was strange, it was part of the audio though, pretty sure it wasn't a sound artifact. I will record it later if I get a chance if it recurs, but probably won't have time.

I can’t comment on the sim version, but the real C310 is an interesting plane to handle. It is heavier on the controls than a 210 for sure. Depending on the fuel load in the mains (tip tanks) the roll rate is particularly interesting. Both responsive from a control input standpoint, but sluggish because of the moment of all that fuel way out on the wing tips. A lot of over correction until you get used to it. Likewise, the large vertical stabilizer can be a blessing and a curse as gusts can cause that tail to swim around
