If you have MSFS via MS-store then just leave the beta in the Xbox insider app. When SU10 rolls out next week all beta users will be updated to the final release version.

As many beta testers were raving about the DX12 performance with the first beta update, we're all in for something very good I think

Better than good. It was silky butter smooth.

Let me elaborate on this. It might be a good idea to save a copy of the OneStore folder (...\Official\OneStore) if the intent is to leave the beta for the current live version and at some stage join the beta again. Perhaps not so relevant as this beta is drawing to an end. But in future betas. Have a copy of the OneStore folder for both the live version and beta saved, and it's painless to switch between them without a full reinstall, which as we know takes ages.

Note: to do this successfully it's necessary to install MSFS to a custom location. I've installed it to C:\MSFS.

If the flight sim gods are feeling generous we'll be granted a stable SU10 next week with exceptional performance 😁😎

And for the FIRST time ever, people will be FORCED to upgrade to a new Nvidia driver. If they want to use DX12 (which I wholly recommend!). None of this placebo effect, if it ain't broke don't fix it etc etc etc, this is for real.

this is exactly what I am hoping for, this would give most users time over the weekend to play, cough cough "test" Su10 last beta. but probably won't have the Nvidia driver fix ready by then.

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

If the final SU10 beta test comes out without the Nvidia fix, this testing situation does not test the final situation, which would be a pity.

That will be interesting when users upgrade to the latest driver, and then their troubles start. Are you saying they will force everyone to get the new driver?

Just because he said it in all caps doesn’t mean he knows what he’s talking about or being literal.

No that's not what is being said... IF you want DX12, and probably only for those who want DX12 without the visual artifacts issues seen in the first SU10 beta iteration, only those set of folks would need to update the Nvidia driver I'd think.

Just use DirectX 11 in MSFS and you can use your current driver for Nvidia. No need to update your Nvidia driver if you just use DirectX 11.

Now why would you go and make a conclusion like that? 🤓 You have put us in a position where we have no other choice but to agree with you, LOL!  Otherwise we have the burden of proving otherwise......  And when.....  Gave me a real chuckle!

To be fair, Microsoft/Asobo cannot control when Nvidia issues the driver. Microsoft/Asobo also has to allocate enough time for an open beta for SU 11.  If it takes NVidia too long to come out with the driver, I think Microsoft/Asobo should proceed to release SU 10 next week, because I personally don't want to see a rushed SU 11 open beta (SU 11, or 40th anniversary edition of MSFS is a hard set date for November 11th, and just like SU5 and SU7, this date cannot be moved because Microsoft has spent money advertising this date for the 40th anniversary release).
