September 12, 20223 yr I'm surprised we haven't heard a word today from the Asobo team. Also, I keep checking the Nvidia website for news of a driver update. No news there either. No news there either. I would be surprised if the NVidia driver was updated this week. I don't know that NVidia releases hotfix drivers for a specific game, since there are thousands of games. More likely, NVidia probably pools several hotfixes for multiple games into a driver update, or they just have a rough driver update every several months, and they will include a hotfix for a specific game on that schedule. Has NVidia released a hotfix driver for a single game though? By releasing a single hotfix for single game, NVidia would make millions of users who don't even play MSFS download that driver. September 13, 20223 yr Nvidia has historically released multiple driver updates per month. I wouldn’t worry until Friday. Gary i9-13900K, Asus RTX 4080, Asus Z790 Plus Wi-Fi, 32 GB Ram, Seasonic GX-1000W, LG C1 48” OLED 4K monitor, Quest 3 VR
September 13, 20223 yr Author This is probably a naïve question. But could the SU update from Asobo also push an Nvidia driver update as well? I don't think ASOBO can do that, but they could, in theory probably still release SU10 without the new driver, if they had to, and it wouldn't hurt much (just DX12 might not work well). I highly doubt they will given their statement on the last dev update: " ...we plan to release SU10 in conjunction with an NVIDIA driver update... " Who knows how they'll time it all. Game installs are not in any way allowed to install something as system level as a driver, and no matter how big the game, Nvidia doesn't do specific updates just for a single game.
September 13, 20223 yr When I booted up MSFS2020 about 10 minutes ago, the news feed said something about SU10 being a required update, so guess it's officially released now? Still downloading at present...

The NVidia driver fix for MSFS will have to wait until NVidia is ready to release a general driver update, that may encompass fixes for other games, as well as MSFS. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
