September 13, 20223 yr Hi, If Asobo has not said anything, it means that the update is not ready yet. It is much better that they wait and make sure there are fewer bugs. Regards.
September 13, 20223 yr I am still on .18 (MS Marketplace version). I haven't been able to trigger the .20 beta update yet. Has it been withdrawn? Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

It was pulled (for MS-Store PC users) shortly after release. I was sort of expecting it to be ready yesterday, but now I'm guessing they will go ahead with the launch anyway. As for the nVidia driver: yes it makes sense that they will not do an exclusive release for MSFS. But then again this whole beta sort of depends on it. So I don't know what we can expect here, other than the official statement 4 days ago: Quote The full release of Sim Update 10 is on its way, slated for next week! While we are pinpointing the exact day of release, our team is currently adding in our final changes and updates for SU10. Beta users can expect one final test build coming shortly. We have also been closely working with NVIDIA regarding our DX12 optimizations and we plan to release SU10 in conjunction with an NVIDIA driver update that will help one of the first issues our Beta users discovered (graphical glitches and artifacts). 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
September 13, 20223 yr Come to think of it, this sort of feels somewhat like the deep breath before the plunge. Of course in our case, waiting for a flight sim update, it's quite trivial. But it's been awfully quiet both here and on the official forums since .20 was launched. Except the mild chaos that night when PC users lost access to all their marketplace addons. To be honest, I have no idea what to expect when SU10 finally releases (in a couple of days?). There were quite a few instability complaints with .18 and .19, but that has sort of also calmed down recently. Edited September 13, 20223 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Game installs are not in any way allowed to install something as system level as a driver, and no matter how big the game, Nvidia doesn't do specific updates just for a single game. Then how come that Direct X used to be part of games' installers back in the day?

They directed you to the DirectX installer so you had the choice. I always rejected them as I already had the latest version installed. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). Similar to when some programs need to install the Visual C++ redistributables, these are not user hardware specific items but are just used by the software to call generic functions.
