Sim Update 10 launches tomorrow!

Wasn't there an issue where a new nVidia driver (for those with nVidia cards) had to be issued before SU10 could go final?

Well they have totally ignored a UI regression bug since the very beginning of the beta so there's that 😉

Yep overall it's just fine, that's not to say it's perfect though, as ever communication during the beta has been woeful and some obvious bugs have still gone ignored but hey ho can't please everyone 🙂

Oh, I am positive that 4 microseconds after the update is released, there will be people posting about how they hate it, and how could Asobo to this to them. 😉

I would be on the lookout for the new driver.  SU10 is supposed to released at the same time as the new driver.

I'm not getting excited till I see Nvidia drop that driver update.

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

To be fair I'm a bit worried that the update might break things again, as I have finally managed to optimize MSFS the way that I liked it.

Inevitably there will be some minor issues for sure, but let's hope that DX12 offers a significant performance boost without any changes in the settings or quality.

I didn't follow the Beta closely, just read all the - quite extensive - release notes.

So, can anyone who participated in the Beta summarize what are the most essential improvements this new version brings? In particular for users with older hardware, like a 1080TI?

What would be interesting is if the latest Nvidia Driver, that apparently is not beta tested with SU10, broke a half dozen add ons in MSFS....

Do we know for certain that there will be a driver update? Could it be that the big news regarding MSFS and Nvidia is related to the other news we heard today about the 4000 series and DLSS3? Is it written somewhere that an MSFS specific Nvidia driver is coming out with SU10?

That came from MS themselves.  They are supposed to be releasing in conjunction with the new driver.  Believe it was in the last dev update.  Nothing to do with DLSS 3.

So will there be a new nvidia driver to download with su10 tomorrow or not.

From what I can tell it looks like not.

Can you provide the quote?

he full release of Sim Update 10 is on its way, slated for next week! While we are pinpointing the exact day of release, our team is currently adding in our final changes and updates for SU10. Beta users can expect one final test build coming shortly. We have also been closely working with NVIDIA regarding our DX12 optimizations and we plan to release SU10 in conjunction with an NVIDIA driver update that will help one of the first issues our Beta users discovered (graphical glitches and artifacts).

I wonder if updating MSFS will force you to use the new driver?  I hate changing drivers when the one I have works great.

Can you be polite? But thanks for posting the quote. I wasn't sure if I had seen it or dreamt it.
