Where do you find 517.40?  It isn't in my Nvidia App.  Does that resolve the blurry displays that people get in DLSS?

Well at least that settles it then.  There is no point installing the game ready driver over the studio driver - it is the same fix.

It's a shame nobody could confirm this on the official MSFS forums to stop all of the arguing and confusion.
They do read the comments, so it is almost like they were ignoring the situation.  Frustrating sometimes.

In the meantime, either Asobo or Nvidia need to look at the new CTD introduced during SU10 / SU10 beta - 'Your graphics card is overclocked or overheating or there is a driver error etc.' I wonder if any AMD card owners are getting this, or is it just Nvidia?

@Zimmerbz  Unfortunately no, the blurry flat panels are down to Asobo to try to fix by introducing masking on them.  No sure how long a process that is.

Ok thanks... So at this point there is no point to running DLSS until Asobo fixes it.  Would you agree or is there any benefit to using that and DX12?

Not on my system, it doesn't. But TAA is outstanding in that regard. From my experience, this whole DX12/DLSS thing seems overblown, but this being flight simulation, everyone seems to get different results anyway. Choose what you like and then have fun.

I think I read  some of the beta testers reported this CTD weeks ago....

As I mentioned elsewhere, Nvidia is extremely difficult to work with by all accounts, and it's very likely Microsoft and Asobo are as frustrated with Nvidia as we are. I expect Asobo/MS had no insight or guidance from Nvidia as to when they would release a driver. I'm sure they wanted to time the release of SU10 with a driver update, but had to just go ahead as they weren't getting a word out of Nvidia.  I think all blame for the confusion lies completely on Nvidia.  It's also entirely likely that the CTD is another Nvidia issue.

Jeez, what have you got against Nvidia? Were they also responsible for Covid?

Nothing, just trying to make sure that folks who are frustrated are directing it at the right party here.  There's a lot of people wondering why MS/Asobo hasn't said anything about the Nvidia driver situation.  If you've been following the video card industry lately, you would probably share my assessment.  But if not, it's still inappropriate to be blaming MS/Asobo for a lack of communication from Nvidia.

And maybe Nvidia asked Asobo to wait until next Tuesday before releasing SU10 as that is when they release driver updates? Who cares? The studio driver is amazing. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you Nvidia! 

nVidia named the upcoming 4070 a 4080 12GB thinking we wouldn't noticed and they could get away with charging $1000 for it. If you don't think nVidia is an underhanded company that manipulates the market and throws around their dominance hammer then fine, no one is go9ing to change your mind. But for the rest of us we realize that any good that comes from nVidia also comes with a double dose of evil.

I don't think Nvidia is any different to any other company, whether they sell soft drinks, burgers or computer hardware. And knowing that I am still more than happy to buy their products. So there 🤪

Everyone seems to be affected. Rich, poor, AMD, nVidia, male, female... the whole bunch. Not sure about Xbox though. Hopefully they'll be able to release some hotfix for this. It's quite ridiculous that they went ahead and released SU10 with the CTD. Although that could have been MS pushing for release, planning ahead for SU11. Anyway, it was in beta for 2 months so I guess they decided that was long enough.
