Absent Reed coming into answer, is there a way to go into the sim and see if the changes are occurring? New to MSFS so I’m not sure how to know if it is working. Eric
November 1, 20223 yr Again: you DON'T have to use the built-in time-based automation routine! Simply open Windows Task Scheduler and change it so that it runs ONLY when you log into Windows, so never needs to interrupt anything you're doing, etc. Cheers Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. November 1, 20223 yr Not used MSFS for a while. Do you have to redownload REX Accuseason program to get the optimised SU10 update? Or will the program auto update itself to the latest version? Thanks.
November 1, 20223 yr This is a pretty good test for perf impact between RT Online traffic AND Accuseason. I did see two minor stutters which I have not seen in this setting yet, and w/ a lesser plane than PMDG 738, but that was the last of it and otherwise ultra smooth. I thought the Accuseason coloration was too uniform (all trees, same shade of orange! Worse than Bijan's!, but I will give it some time and see. I just accept automation w/ default colors. Where we live it's a lot of yellows, some orange and reds, this is near Denver CO. In that custom directory I have 8 or so folders to separate out types of 3rd party content. Will this program work with the automated feature if I put it in a folder in this directory and link it to MSFS with AOL? @MikeT707 Yes you can use the custom folder feature within AccuSeason settings to set where you want the files to be stored. Just landed at MMSD and THAT looked very plausible (Cabo San Lucas) for this area this time of year. Hi Noel and thanks for your comments. I took some quick images of the Denver area for the current week and I see a nice variety of yellows, oranges, and greens that contain different colorization hues based on what I included in the vegetation content, as well as due to how the ground coloring impacts color hue per the MSFS coding. One cornerstone of AccuSeason is we offer the customers a lot of choice, and that not only is available through tree height options or deciduous canopy type options, but you also have available to you a collection of 12 different presets for Autumn, so this gives customers a large amount of flexibility to choose what their experience should look like. Here are similar pics in the Denver area with the Fall Preset that is named Patagonia installed, which will show different coloring (I also changed the deciduous canopy type to irregular for these shots): To add, you can use the Manual Dynamic Seasons feature, which is located in the Automation page, as a time machine. This means if someone thinks that the current week's representation of vegetation appears to be too late in the season, he/she can change vegetation to an earlier date. Similarly if someone thinks the current week's vegetation appears to be too early in the season, he/she can change the date to a later date. Therefore, if you want to see more green and yellow vegetation with some orange, you have the option to change the date in the Manual Dynamic Seasons section of the Automation page to maybe late September or early October. Here is a screenshot of that page and you can see the month of September was selected in the dropdown in the Manual Dynamic Seasons section. This then allows the user to choose a different week. 59 minutes ago, Noel said: Well, we're talking Colorado's Front Range area and it's pretty much all orange! I flew around with AccuSeason in this general area and below are some pics, which display conifer trees with different hues of greens, with a few brown-ish and yellow-ish conifers, which is pretty true to life. I did a test and removed AccuSeason and loaded up the Bijan 4 season pack product and did see a large amount of orange deciduous trees with some red, yellow, and green deciduous trees in this Rocky Mountain area, which seemed quite out of place so I am wondering if perhaps you still might have Bijan's product in the Community folder, which could cause issues like this. Thanks so much and I hope this helps. REX AccuSeason Developer REX Simulations

I probably have messed something up. I didn't realize I had just put an old single file of Bijan's Fall North Spring South set in a couple days ago after troubleshooting for 3 weeks and forgot to remove them before installing AccuSeason 🙃. As soon as I did it I remembered I should have removed the one file from the Community Folder before installing but it was late at night and I just screwed up. This prompted me to completely uninstall AccuSeason at which I started to surmise we would now see Bijan's trees since that was in the Comm Folder, and that the OEM textures might well be gone forever! But thankfully it wasn't--it looked like default trees, all green deciduous trees, so hopefully I didn't lose the OEM textures. I then reinstalled AccuSeason and as I say the color variety was almost a uniform orange. I'll look again after finishing the current flight. Thanks! There are so many defining factors of when this takes place it's literally impossible for anyone to be 100% completely accurate down to the current day and month Bijan's and AccuSeason, to me, seem like stopgap solutions ultimately, almost from a bygone era. I know that sounds bad or disrespectful but I'm very thankful to have them, and AccuSeason looks to be a nice improvement over Bijan's. Performance impact seems minor. Hopefully I didn't bork the trees! What I would love to see is a sort of organic approach using programmable shader-based color and shape change over time, which looks at complex geolocation data to drive the change and truly automate the change of seasons completely in the background, just like Ma Nature. Can you imagine if the leafclusters themselves altered their coloration and shape dynamically day by day? The early green buds in early spring, then on to opening leaves, then the color change in the fall, leaves drop off during winter and so forth. This seems like the Holy Grail of simulating seasonal change worldwide. Massive data set, but it's there for the taking probably. I think it could well happen sometime down the road but probably not right around the next bend.
