September 24, 20223 yr Commercial Member Hi All. Wanted to inform that we have optimized AccuSeason for the MSFS SimUpdate 10 release. Early in the beta process for SU10, it was discovered that Sim Update 10 caused a negative performance (Frames per Second) impact for AccuSeason and similar vegetation products. With this being the case, the REX team invested in a huge effort to make extensive changes to the application in order to optimize performance for SU10. Performance improvements were ultimately made by the MSFS team during the beta, but we still noticed some degraded performance and the optimized updates work great. Autumn is already changing tree coloring in some parts of the northern hemisphere, so we hope you will enjoy this REX update and the optimized performance it brings to your simulator with the Microsoft Flight Simulator Sim Update 10 release. Here are some images I took in a flight around Seattle. The trees are not showing this week's vegetation coloring, but I thought it would be nice to show what things look like mid-Autumn. Thanks. It's not something I've noticed with Bijan's mod but I note that the fps impact with SU10 has been noted on the mods Discord. Edited September 25, 20223 yr by jarmstro
September 25, 20223 yr Thanks for the heads up. I missed AccuSeason while I was in the beta for two months. Did some flights in Norway today and it was great seeing the start of the autumn colors. Awesome product! 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

September 25, 20223 yr Thank you Mike! Love Accuseasons. I noticed the performance drops with it but kept my mouth shut. Because after all I was using a beta and then a new product. These things happen. Thank you for addressing it. Fantastic product! September 25, 20223 yr I wanted to know if REX also did the coloring of the terrain? Because brown trees on a completely green ground is not very beautiful, am I wrong ?

Because brown trees on a completely green ground is not very beautiful, am I wrong ? No, only Asobo can do this, as MSFS uses Bing images for the terrain tiles. Asobo are working on it (seasons) but they will probably have to use some kind of coloured overlay / masking on to the Bing terrain tiles, unless they can do something similar to the snow covering, which works quite well actually and maybe they don't get enough credit for that. Some other people have experimented with terrain masking / overlays, but it has created other issues. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. While not super bright and vibrant it doesn't brown. I am sure there is something they can do about this. Like I say, Asobo are working on it; on their list it says 'Seasons - Started'. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). Not necessarily. Here in the UK, we can have brown leaved trees in the late autumn, leafless trees in the middle of winter, but still have lovely green grass on the ground! Where I live grass is as green in fall as it is in summer, as others have also stated in this thread. To be honest the brownish colouring of the terrain to mimic fall looks far more unrealistic to me. It has always bugged me with Orbx sceneries...
