FENIX Hotfix out

Featured Replies

Hotfix AVAILABLE NOW.

A sidenote, flaring should be more comfortable than the pre-hotfix version, as the reprofiled drag helps the aircraft with it's energy state in the flare. Feedback welcomed. [SYSTEM]

- Revised logic for ground spoiler retraction, ground spoilers now retract when thrust levers are at or above 20 degrees, facilitating safer post-bounce go-arounds.

- Tuned Autoland - Fixed engine idle EWD and associated signals for APPR IDLE segments

- Improved option save reliability (this seems to still be dodgy, we're working on it)

- Added PLD support, phased lift dumping, to support partial spoiler extension in certain landing scenarios

- Refined APPR IDLE dynamic N1 calculation with additional variables [FM]

- Added drag to Flap 2 and 3 - Fixed landing gear drag [ART&SOUND]

- Removed blue highlights when mousing over items by default

- Fixed random errant turbulence sounds

- Fixed high pitched click every 4.5 seconds when AEVC is on

From Discord.

Thanks Fenix team!

I tested this a couple of hours ago while it was still Beta. The landing now is great.. First landing, 110 FPM, and no bounce.

A sigh of relief here, fixed the issues I had with yawing on the runway. Flaring is much better now too, just landed in a crosswind at Heathrow with -28 FPM on touchdown and no sudden loss of control. Happy with the improved drag on the flaps and gear too, which is very reminiscent of the actual 320.

Oh and that incessant rattling has gone too 🙂 Really pleased with the patch. A pat on the back for the Fenix team.

me and videos don't get on. I remember when we introduced them for the PC Pilot magazine coverdisk. Mine were consistently a disaster! 🙂

BTW: does the update install directly over the current version or do we need to uninstall 1st ?

I went straight over the top and all seemed fine

Yes, it installs over the top

I did a video with one ILS approach, touch and go, and a visual circuit following. Will probably upload the complete thing. But who is going to watch it?

I might.

I just did a quick flight around MSP and it was great. The wind was 310 @ 21 with gusts. Now, that was fun. I'm really liking the SU10.

I don't know if it's DX12 with DLSS, but I can now see the PAPI lights and the rotating beacon. Happy camper.

I'm very happy with the update. I just had a perfect landing into KIAD. Before the hotfix I was always winding up in the grass.

You usually never have to deinstall anything first. If you have to, installers are usually programmed to deinstall the previous version automatically before installing the new one.

Same.  Raised it numerous times in the discord.  They said it my system.
