Chopper looks decent inside and out.  Once I disabled the helpers it flew a lot nicer - it's touchy like the real one.  Sounds are nice too.  I'll be flying this a lot more!

Yes.

Sooooo.....I'm a bit frustrated as the GNS530 doesn't seem to work as a GPS source for the HSI.  HSI only works in VLOC.  You can see my pic here that the CDI is deflected to the left but the HSI is basically centered.  

*Heavy sigh* why was I surprised?  BASIC functionality would be appreciated....

They should have got the beta testers to look at all of this release rather than trying to be clever and hide away the bits that actually needed the most testing to be a special "reveal"

Yeah it would be great if basics worked.

I can't seem to find a working Force Trim button.  Maybe I can bind one.  For now I've got to keep my stick forward quite far while flying.

Well, they're nothing if not consistent 😄

Hopefully fixed in a future patch. I guess for now I'll navigate by HSI (human sight and intuition?).

Is there a controller for under $100 that I can use to fly the helicopters?  I presently have a yoke and pedals.

It would technically work okay with a yoke but it would feel weird imo.

Covid has prices way up but the T1600m is a great stick for "cheap"

Otherwise the Logitech G extreme is even cheaper if you're only flying once in a while

There seem to be some new control mappings (conveniently listed as "New" in the control assignments menu).  Look for "Increase Rotor Lateral Trim", "Decrease Rotor Lateral Trim", etc for anything with "Rotor " in it.
